Abstract

In order to achieve a homogeneous spring characteristic of the slat with simultaneous elimination of subsequent vibrations, a slat (1) is proposed which consists of an upper beam (12) and a lower beam (14), a volumetrically elastic layer (11) being inserted between the upper beam (12) and the lower beam (14), which layer is glued securely to the upper beam (12) and lower beam (14), but, on the other hand, the upper beam and lower beam are securely joined to one another in the end region (5, 6) of the slats (1) without interposition of the elastic layer (11) and the elastic layer (11) consists of a volumetrically elastic foam material. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a female connector according to the preamble of the main claim.

In CH-PS 504 860 a "Lättli" is described, in particular for seating and reclining furniture, in which a solid plastic layer is introduced between the upper and lower layers of veneer wood, which preferably consists of a thermosetting plastic. This thick intermediate layer made of plastic is intended to avoid the disadvantage of pre-stressed "Lättli", which is seen in the fact that, after use, they weaken after relatively few load changes and thus lose their suspension properties. The solid plastic layer introduced is said to have better fatigue strength than European hardwood.

This well-known "Lättli" as well as the well-known, completely made of plywood slats has the disadvantage that over the length of the Female connector seen no homogeneous support with acting load, ie the same spring constant is achieved under the same load. The spring characteristic of the female connector is different in its end area, in which it rests on the grate frame, than in the central area. In these known designs, all the layers forming the spring strip are connected to one another in a shear-resistant manner, that is to say glued, so that homogeneous bodies are created in the sense of the bending stress, which retain their dimension with regard to the material thickness in the bending stress.

With any conventional load intervention in these conventional and known female connectors, the middle of the ledge bends more than the point of contact with the load and leads to the formation of cavities next to the resting one when the force acts outside the middle of the ledge. With complex mattresses, attempts have been made to avoid this disadvantage.

From DE-GM 85 02 892 a plastic female connector for pads of upholstery, in particular mattresses is known, which has a flat underside and a height decreasing from its transverse median plane to its two ends. This female connector is made entirely of plastic and also with this female connector, the top flange and bottom flange are connected to each other in a shear-proof manner so that the desired homogeneity is not achieved.

Auch hier sind alle Furnierholzlagen fest miteinander verleimt und damit schubfest miteinander verbunden und die Leiste hält stets ihre Dimension hinsichtlich der Materialstärke bei.DE-GM-76 21 595 describes a female connector made of plywood layers, with additional wooden lamellae firmly inserted in the central area, which the undesired, downward-facing, often permanent deformation occurring with prolonged use should avoid avoidance. Here too, all layers of veneer wood are firmly glued to one another and thus connected in a shear-resistant manner, and the strip always maintains its dimension in terms of material thickness.

From DE-GM 79 30 103 a female connector for a bed or slatted frame is known, which consists of an upper and a lower reinforcing layer extending in the longitudinal direction of the skirting board made of plastic-bonded glass fibers, carbon fibers or the like. These two reinforcement layers are connected to each other via a foam layer. The known female connector is designed to be constant over its entire length and thus has no homogeneity when viewed over the longitudinal axis of the connector, i.e. the layers can shift against each other under load and thus with deflection. The upper and lower reinforcement layers are not connected to each other in a shear-resistant manner.

In the generic CH-PS 650 911, a "Lättli" made of layers of wood joined together by gluing is proposed, in which at least one rubber insert between 0.15 mm and 0.5 mm thick is glued to the adjacent layers of wood in the tension zone below. This is intended to make the "Lättli" both durable, that is to say it has a high level of fatigue strength, and at the same time it is softer in its behavior, that is to say it is more pleasant in its edition. This is achieved in that the upper support part made of wood can move elastically against the lower support part made of wood when the load acts in the area of the rubber insert. Although the two wooden beam parts are glued together via the rubber insert, they can move against each other. So they are not shear-proof.

The invention has for its object to provide a female connector which has a suspension behavior as homogeneous as possible seen over its length - at least in the central region.

This object on which the invention is based is achieved by the teaching of the main claim.

Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen sind in den Unteransprüchen erläutert.Advantageous configurations are explained in the subclaims.

In other words, the female connector according to the invention consists of an upper chord and a lower chord, the two belts each consisting of veneer wood layers that are firmly glued together. The thrust bond between the upper chord and lower chord is removed in the central area - apart from the end areas of the female connector - so that the upper chord and lower chord can move separately from one another in the central area. In addition, a volume-elastic mass is filled in as an elastic layer in this area between the upper chord and lower chord, which keeps the upper chord and lower chord at a certain defined distance from one another when there is no load. In addition, this elastic layer advantageously has the additional feature that its thickness increases continuously or in steps towards the middle of the bar and decreases towards the ends of the bar. The elastic layer is firmly glued to the underside of the top chord and to the top of the bottom chord.

In the event of a local load attack, the space between the upper chord and lower chord is compressed as a result of the volume elasticity of the elastic layer, so that the static height changes and the support at this point becomes more flexible and the load can be exerted by local deformation without the support, i.e. the female connector bends in its entire length. Essentially, only the loaded part of the new bar gives way. This has the great advantage that only relatively thin mattresses need to be used.

A foam made of natural or synthetic material is used as the elastic layer and it is preferably proposed according to the invention that the volume-elastic material, which of course also has to be form-elastic, is a polyurethane. Polyurethane elastomers are high-molecular organic materials that have the characteristic elastic properties of natural or synthetic rubber. Polyurethane foam is widely known in the art as a cushioning material, insulating material and also in medicine as a cotton substitute.

This polyurethane foam used according to the invention has low rigidity, is volume-elastic and its rebound resilience is damped. When the tension subsides, the original dimension is fully restored, but this takes a longer time, i.e. the desired vibration damping is achieved.

The new female connector has the main advantage that its suspension behavior over the load path can be designed.

In Fig. 1 a female connector 1 is shown, which can be fixed by means of bearing blocks 2 and 3 on grate frame parts 4, wherein the bearing blocks 2 and 3 are only shown as exemplary embodiments. When the new female connector is used, specially designed bearing blocks are preferably used.

The female connector 1 has end regions 5 and 6. The female connector 1 is constructed from an upper chord 12 and a lower chord 14, between which there is an elastic layer 11. Upper flange 12 and lower flange 14 each consist of a layer of veneer wood ten 8, which can be surface-coated up or down by a synthetic resin film 9. In the exemplary embodiment shown, a moisture-impermeable thermosetting layer 10 is used in the upper chord 12 immediately before its lowermost plywood layer 1, which is designed to be shear and tensile resistant at least in the transverse direction of the veneer wood layers 8 and is arranged as close as possible to the neutral fiber of the upper chord 12.

In the end region 5 and 6, the top flange 12 and bottom flange 14 are firmly glued to one another in the same way as the individual veneer wood layers 8 are glued and pressed together. In the non-glued area between the upper chord 12 and lower chord 14, the elastic layer 11 is used, which preferably consists of a polyurethane foam and is volume-elastic, ie can be compressed elastically. The thickness of this elastic layer 11 is designed such that the thickness d in the middle 7 of the last is greater than in the end regions 5, 6, ie the elastic layer 11 tapers to a thickness d = 0 in its end regions, while in the central region the Thickness d is relatively considerable. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the transition from the center 7 to the end regions 5 and 6 is stepless. This volume-elastic foam layer keeps the upper chord 12 and lower chord 14 at a defined distance from one another when there is no load and the thrust bond between the upper chord 12 and lower chord 14 is released, so that the upper chord 12 and lower chord 14 can move separately from one another in the central region.

Fig. 4 shows the spring behavior of a pure plywood strip and it can be seen that this spring behavior is linear.

Fig. 5 shows the spring behavior of a top flange 12 and bottom flange 14 and elastic layer 11 spring bar and it can be seen that the spring bar designed in this way yields relatively little at the beginning of the load, but then when the elastic layer 11 is compressed, becomes more flexible .

In the event of a local load attack, the upper chord 12 and lower chord 14 are compressed due to the elasticity of the elastic layer 11, so that the static height changes and the female connector will yield at this point and the load due to local deformation can occur without the female connector 1 being in it deflects along its entire length.

This configuration creates a female connector 1 which behaves more homogeneously than the previous female connectors and which, regardless of the area in which a load is exerted on the female connector, leads to the same amount of deflection over the entire length of the female connector. In addition, the swinging of the female connector is significantly reduced.
