Abstract

In a device for the industrial ironing of outerwear, the two sleeve-clamping devices (1) are actuable in synchronism to obtain the desired stretching of the sleeves of the garment to be ironed, the displaceable or rotatable clamping elements (2;2') being synchronously controllable via a separate switch. The outlet orifices for the media feed are arranged level with the hem-gripping devices. Each sleeve-clamping device consists of a supporting part of variable length, receiving the clamping elements (2;2'), and of a strut of variable length which supports this supporting part. The design according to the invention of the sleeve-clamping devices makes an easy and quick mirror-symmetrical stretching of the two sleeves possible, without creases or folds occurring in the region of the clamping elements. <IMAGE>
