Gemäß DE-OS 26 22 161 wurde weiters eine Rundbürste mit gleichmäßig über den Kreisquerschnitt verteilt angeordneten radialen Kämmen zwischen den Borsten vorgeschlagen, die zwar gleichzeitig beim Bürsten einen gewissen Kämmeffekt ergibt, aber sich wiederum nur für ein eindrehendes Bürsten wie andere Rund­bürsten auch eignet. Darüber hinaus gibt es nach der AU-A-82 852/82 auch unterschiedliche Borstenträgereinsätze für flache oder zylindrische Bürstenkörper, welche konvexen, gleich lange Borsten aufnehmenden Einsätze austauschbar an den Bürstenkörpern befestigt sind. So können Flach- oder Rundbürsten entstehen, die aber nicht rundum borsten­bestückt sind und sich ebenfalls immer nur für eine be­stimmte Einsatzweise gut verwenden lassen.As is shown in US Pat. Diese Bürste erlaubt sowohl ein Eindrehen als auch ein Glattbürsten der Haare, wobei sich durch die keilförmige Anordnung der Borsten am Sehnenteil nicht nur ein ausgezeichneter Durch­bürstungseffekt ergibt, sondern sich auch heikelste Haar­legebewegungen feinfühlig durchführen lassen. Dabei ist es nicht wichtig, ob dazu die Borsten entlang des Sehnenteiles eine zur Mitte hin zunehmende Länge oder bei entsprechend keilförmig abgewinkeltem Sehnenverlauf etwa gleichbleibende Länge aufweisen, sondern es kommt haupt­sächlich auf die sich dadurch ergebende Lage der Borsten­spitzen an.
