Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung zur Regelung der Konizität der Schmalseitenplatten einer Platten­ kokille zur Herstellung von Brammen, insbesondere aus Stahl, nach dem Stranggießverfahren, bei dem mittels Meßfühler die Anlage der Strangschale an eine Schmal­ seitenplatte und die Ausbauchung der Strangschale er­ mittelt und die Konizität der Schmalseitenplatten auf einen Sollwert nachgestellt wird. Um die Konizität der schmalen Kokillenplatten in Abhängigkeit von dem in der Kokille sich tatsächlich einstellenden Schrumpfungs­ verhältnissen einzustellen und eine sichere Führung des Stranges bei hinreichender Kühlung und geringstem Platten­ verschleiß zu ermöglichen, wird vorgeschlagen, daß zwei Meßfühler (7) in einer Querschnittsebene im unteren Be­ reich einer Schmalseitenplatte (1), und zwar je einer in der Mitte und im Kantenbereich des Stranges angeordnet sind und die Schmalseitenplatten (1) auf eine Konizität eingestellt und während des Betriebes nachgeführt werden, so daß stets der mittlere Meßfühler (7) einen Kontakt mit der Strangschale (9) anzeigt und der andere Meßfühler (7) einen Mindestabstand zur Strangschale (9) nicht unterschreitet.
