Wird die Tischplatte schräg ge­stellt, kommt der weitere Vorteil hinzu, daß die auf ihr lie­genden Dinge von selbst in die Ablagevertiefung rutschen. Bei alledem kann die Ablagevertiefung jederzeit mit einem einzigen Handgriff abgedeckt werden, wozu lediglich ein Ver­drehen des Abdeckteiles notwendig ist. Die beiden Abschluß­ teile 29 stehen in radialer Richtung über die Traverse vor und weisen am vorstehenden Bereich eine sich über einen größeren Bogenwinkel als das Abdeckteil 25 erstreckende Lagernut 34 auf, die die Drehlagerung für das in sie eingreifende Stirn­ende des Abdeckteiles 25 bildet. Bei der Montage wird so vor­gegangen, daß man zunächst an der einen Schreibtischseite das eine Abschlußteil 29 befestigt. Sodann steckt man das Abdeck­teil 25 mit seinem zugewandten Stirnende in die Lagernut 34 dieses Abschlußteiles. Sodann bringt man das entgegengesetz­te Abschlußteil 29 an, das beim Befestigen an der Traverse auf das entgegegesetzte Stirnende des Abdeckteiles 25 mit seiner Lagernut 34 aufgestockt wird. Das Abdeckteil 25 läßt sich dann in den Lagernuten 34 verdrehen. Damit im Falle des verdickten Längsrandbereichs 28 des Abdeckteiles 25 diese Ver­dickung die Drehlagerung nicht stört, beginnt die Verdickung 28 mit Abstand zum Stirnende des Abdeckteiles, so daß dieses ungestört durch die Verdickung in die Lagernut eingesteckt werden kann.The front ends of the crossmember 8 are closed by cover-like end parts 29, which are of the same design. In dem Umfangsbereich, über den sich das Abdeckteil 25 und die Traverse 8 überlappen, sind die Lagernut 34 und die Zentrier­nut 36 nicht voneinander getrennt sondern gehen ineinander über und bilden einen verbreiterten Nutbereich, der sich zwi­schen dem schon erwähnten Ende 36 der Lagernut 34, an dem das Abdeckteil 25 in seiner geöffneten Lage anschlägt, und dem Ende 38 der Zentriernut 37 erstreckt, an dem sich der Längs­randbereich 23 der Traverse 8 befindet. Die Lagernut und die Zentriernut könnten jedoch auch getrennt voneinander verlau­fen. Schreib- oder Arbeitstisch mit einem Tischgestell und einer auf diesem angeordneten, insbesondere schrägstellbaren, Tischplatte, wobei das Tischgestell eine vorne oben im Be­reich der Vorderkante der Tischplatte in Tischlängsrichtung verlaufende, feststehende Traverse aufweist, dadurch gekenn­zeichnet, daß die Traverse (8) der Vorderkante (9) der Tisch­platte (2) vorgelagert ist und eine oben offene Ablagever­tiefung (18) bildet und daß an der Außenseite (19) der Tra­verse (8) ein sich mindestens über die Länge der Ablagever­tiefung (18) erstreckendes Abdeckteil (25) angeordnet ist, das um die Traverse (8) herum drehbar ist und dabei die Ab­lagevertiefung (18) in seiner nach oben gedrehten Lage ab­deckt und in seiner nach unten gedrehten Lage freigibt.1.
