Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur zusätzlichen Übertragung von digitalen Daten in bandbegrenzten Übertra­ gungskanälen. Bei dem Verfahren werden zur Erzielung eines ausreichenden Mindest-Störabstandes zwischen Datensignalen und den anderen zu übertragenden Signalen die Datensignale vor der Übertragung verrundet. Die Amplitude der erfin­ dungsgemäßen Kurvenform für verrundete Datensignale nehmen im Zeitbereich nur in einem inneren Bereich von etwa 75 % der doppelten Bitbreite eines Einzelbits Werte verschieden von Null an und sind sonst Null. Die Zeitfunktion f(t) der verrundeten Datensignalfolgen weist keine Einsattelungen mehr auf, die Zahl der Extrema der ersten zeitlichen Ab­ leitung f′(t) ist geringer als die Zahl der Extrema der ersten zeitlichen Ableitung F′(t) einer vergleichbar, aber gemäß EBU-Vorschrift gerundeten Zeitfunktion F(t). Eine bevorzugte Anwendung der Erfindung ist AM-RDS. Die Vor­ teile des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens bestehen vor allem in der minimalen PM → AM-Konversion und in dem optimalen Augenmuster.
