Abstract

A new radio receiver comprising a radio data signal decoder, a microprocessor and a store for the so-called alternative frequencies (AF lists) is described. The store of this radio receiver has mutually associated storage locations for the programme identification code (PI code) and storage chains for the AF lists. The storage input for the storage locations of the PI code follows the RDS decoder, the storage input for the storage chains is connected to the output of the tuning system. The stores are managed by a microprocessor. After passing through the entire FM band, the currently receivable frequencies which belong to the same programme identification code are stored in the appropriate storage chains in the store. <IMAGE>
