Dagegen ermöglicht es die Kontaktanordnung nach der DE-A-35 39 673, eine verhältnismäßig schmale Licht­bogenkammer zu verwenden, deren Breite geringer ist als die Ge­samtbreite der aus mehreren parallel angeordneten Hauptkon­takte und einem mittleren Vorkontaktpaar bestehende Anord­nung. Diese Ge­staltung führt zu einem solchen Verlauf der Strombahn inner­halb des Kontakthebels, daß die Stromfäden eine schleifen­förmige Umlenkung erfahren und hierdurch unmittelbar eine elektrodynamische Vortriebskraft entsteht, die einen an den Hauptkontakten entstehenden Lichtbogen in Richtung der Vor­kontakte treibt. Hierdurch wird ein Verweilen eines solchen Schaltlichtbogens an den Hauptkontakten und damit eine uner­wünschte Beanspruchung der für die Dauerbelastung wichtigen Hauptkontakte vermieden. Da sich aber Schaltlichtbögen an dieser Stelle nicht zuverlässig vermeiden lassen, wird durch eine besondere Gestaltung des Kontakthebels 18 dafür gesorgt, daß solche Schaltlichtbögen so rasch wie möglich zu den Vorkontakten 24 und 30 übergeleitet werden, von denen sie in bekannter Weise über Lichtbogenhörner in eine Löschkammer gelangen. Wie in der Figur gezeigt, weist der Kontakthebel 18 an seiner kontaktgebenden Unterseite un­mittelbar anschließend an den Bereich der Hauptkontakte 20 eine Vertiefung 32 auf.
