Abstract
A catalytic combustion system, e.g. in a gas turbine, has
a combustion catalyst supported by a honeycomb structure (20) and an
integral, or separate, catalyst-free honeycomb section (22) upstream of
the combustion catalyst acting as, or supporting, a flame trap.
