Abstract

On its seat plate (16), a bath insert (10) carries a back support (18), on the lateral edges of which side plates (22) are swivellably arranged. Each side plate (22) is held by a hinge arrangement (24) into which is integrated a locking device which makes it possible to adjust the side plates (22) in fine steps into a multiplicity of angular positions relative to the back support (18) and to lock them in the respectively chosen angular position in such a way that they cannot be swivelled. The lock is released by lifting the side plate (22) slightly.
