Definitions
- the present invention relates to a new ear-ring or drop ear-ring.
- a ear-ring or drop ear-ring has been devised, which presents some features making it advantageously interesting with respect to the presently known commercial articles intended for similar uses.
- the novelty of the ear-ring according to the present invention consists in that it is reversible, namely that its use by the bearer is double, giving a different aspect depending on the position of the ear-ring during use.
- This double use which is allowed with the proposed ear-ring is obtained due to the fact that the configuration of this ear-ring is different in its two faces, one of these faces remaining visible while the opposite face is hidden or vice versa, depending on whether the ear-rear is placed in one or the other direction, by rotation of 180°, so that with a same ear-ring two distinct articles or effects are obtained. It is possible to provide a third aspect ty interchanging both directions so that they are opposed.
- the ear-ring according to the present invention prevents the above mentioned drawbacks by comprising as a novelty, a quite original blocking means giving two advantages: on the one hand, it remains hidden inside the ear-ring and consequently inside the ear lobe of the user, so that it is not visible to third parties, and on the other hand, it allows its placing according to two directions or ways, or which is the same when rotated by 180°, so that due to the fact that two orusemental designs are provided, which are diametrally opposite according to the two faces of the ear-ring, the placing of this ear-ring according to one or the other direction or way determines two orusemental effects or designs which go well together.
- an ear-ring or drop ear-ring designated in general by 1, is provided on one of its faces with a determined different drawing or configuration 3, (different from the drawing 2) so that according to the face which is viewed, the ear-ring presents a different image or aspect, being reversible at will.
- Fixation of the ear-ring, rotated by 180°, is obtained thanks to the provision of an original blocking device made of a rod 4 with a groove 5, which lodges into a cavity 6 formed with cuttings 7 which promote its radial expansion.

Abstract
New ear-ring, of the oval, circular or semi-oval type, essentially characterized in that it is reversible, presenting two use positions of a different aspect, owing to the provision on both opposite faces of the ear-ring, of a distinct design or configuration (2, 3), one or the other face being visible by rotation of the ear-ring by 180° in one or the other direction, in that this ear-ring includes a blocking device which allows its use indistinctly in one or the other direction, in order to present different images or designs, this blocking device being made of a hinge (6) arranged in the internal upper portion of one of the faces of the ear-ring, and into which a transversal rod (4) provided to this end enters under pressure, this rod presenting a suitable groove (5) at its end, this groove being intended to lodge itself in another groove provided in the hinge, which facilitates the closing or opening by means of a suitable manual pressure.
Description
- The present invention relates to a new ear-ring or drop ear-ring.
- According to the invention, a ear-ring or drop ear-ring has been devised, which presents some features making it advantageously interesting with respect to the presently known commercial articles intended for similar uses.
- The novelty of the ear-ring according to the present invention consists in that it is reversible, namely that its use by the bearer is double, giving a different aspect depending on the position of the ear-ring during use. This double use which is allowed with the proposed ear-ring is obtained due to the fact that the configuration of this ear-ring is different in its two faces, one of these faces remaining visible while the opposite face is hidden or vice versa, depending on whether the ear-rear is placed in one or the other direction, by rotation of 180°, so that with a same ear-ring two distinct articles or effects are obtained. It is possible to provide a third aspect ty interchanging both directions so that they are opposed.
- It is known that the ear-rings presently known commercially, of the oval, circular or semi-oval type, present a decoration or ornementation only along their contour, the way of placing into the ear being always in a same direction, due to the fact that the usual blocking means determine such a circumstance, so that the use of the ear-ring is always the same. Furthermore, the conventional blocking system, being made of a ring located above the ear-ring, remains visible with the resulting anti-aesthetical effects.
- The ear-ring according to the present invention prevents the above mentioned drawbacks by comprising as a novelty, a quite original blocking means giving two advantages: on the one hand, it remains hidden inside the ear-ring and consequently inside the ear lobe of the user, so that it is not visible to third parties, and on the other hand, it allows its placing according to two directions or ways, or which is the same when rotated by 180°, so that due to the fact that two ornemental designs are provided, which are diametrally opposite according to the two faces of the ear-ring, the placing of this ear-ring according to one or the other direction or way determines two ornemental effects or designs which go well together.
- In order to make the explanation easier, a sheet of drawings is enclosed with the present specification, said drawings showing an embodiment as an example.
- Fig. 1 and 2 show the ear-ring, in particular a drop ear-ring, as viewed along both faces.
- Fig. 3 shows a detail of the blocking device.
- Fig. 4 shows the blocking device as viewed according to the arrow A of Fig. 3.
- Referring to the drawings, an ear-ring or drop ear-ring, designated in general by 1, is provided on one of its faces with a determined different drawing or
configuration 3, (different from the drawing 2) so that according to the face which is viewed, the ear-ring presents a different image or aspect, being reversible at will. - Fixation of the ear-ring, rotated by 180°, is obtained thanks to the provision of an original blocking device made of a rod 4 with a
groove 5, which lodges into acavity 6 formed withcuttings 7 which promote its radial expansion.
