Abstract

The rectangular frame (1) supported by a leg (9) at each corner, has parallel slats (16) of wood or material of a suitable elasticity across it, to carry a mattress. The frame is made of oval section metal tubing, bent into a rectangle, the tube being shaped to retain the ends of the slats. The interior face of each side of the rectangle is bent to form a U shaped recess (20) inside which fits one end of each slat.
