Abstract
Abfall wird einer Verbrennungskammer (1) zugeführt und unter Anfall von Schlacke, Abgas und Flugstaub verbrannt, wobei der mit dem Abgas herausgeführte Flugstaub anschließend abgetrennt wird. Damit wesentlich geringere Mengen an mit Schwermetallen kontaminiertem Flugstaub anfallen und die Möglichkeit eröffnet wird, die Schwermetalle wiederzugewinnen, wird der Flugstaub (in einer Trenneinrichtung (14) in eine Grob- und Feinstaubfraktion aufgeteilt und nur die Grobstaubfraktion in den Verbrennungofen (1) zurückgeführt und in die flüssige Schlacke unter Verdampfung der anhaftenden, flüchtigen Schadstoffe eingebunden, während die an der Feinstaubfraktion anhaftenden Schadstoffe in einer weiteren Trennstufe (15, 16) wiedergewonnen werden.
