Abstract
Description
- This invention relates to the improvement of practical techniques used with the framework of furniture fittings such as the indoor movable partition material like Shohji Door (Japanese paper sliding door), Fusuma Door (Japanese Craftpaper sliding door) and so on, and it relates particularly to a built-in framework having the paper sheet holding function, which makes it possible to adhere the relative paper of those materials tightly, correctly, simply and rapidly without any professional techniques.
- As is well known in the prior art, furniture fittings such as Shohji Door or Fusuma Door consist of an oblong frame and a relative paper sheet separately, and in order to hang the paper on the frame neatly, a long term of apprenticeship, like a professional hanger, is required. For a young married lady, who has been living generally under a dual income family and is called as "A New Family Generation", it is absolutely impossible to during her daily life hang the paper on the frame correctly, and therefore, such a job has had to be entrusted to a specialist, so-called "The professional joiner or hanger" accordingly.
- However, today there are only a few such professional and skillful people, and thus, their working costs are so high that they would seriously affect the expenditure of general family life at present. For example, a two-storied house with 132 square metres would normally have 30 pieces of Shohji or Fusuma Doors, and with the working cost today at approximately ¥5,000. per piece, the total cost would accordingly come to ¥150,000.
- This invention has been developed in view of the tendency for daily increasing costs, and it is the main object of the invention to supply in a simple and easy manner the framework for hanging the paper sheet on the frame, Shohji or Fusuma Door, without any special and professional techniques.
- This shall be also available for other indoor decorative materials such as Tsuitate (Japanese Paper Screen) or framed tapestry, used as furniture fittings.
- At this present stage, the object of this invention is to supply a built-in framework, by which the paper sheet shall be held tightly in tension on the paper sheet holder prepared at a male framepiece, and then it shall be combined with the other, female, framepiece as it is. The job would be accomplished quite simply and instantly. Through the correct and simple procedure, the finish of the Shohji or Fusuma Door would appear exactly the same as the professional jobber's work, and even in case of other interior decorative materials, the finish would be also treated correctly as the first class workmanship as if it was under the skillful hands of a first grade craftsman.
- The other object of this invention is to supply a built-in framework, with which even an amateur or general person would be able to effect the paper sheet hanging or changing easily and rapidly for a Shohji Door, a Fusuma Door, a Tsuitate Screen or for another framed tapestry with personal intention, while this kind of job should have been entrusted forcibly to the specialist like the professional and skillful jobber.
- This invention has realized a built-in framework having the paper sheet holding function by the following procedures:
- A. Prepared a pair of framepieces, one
female framepiece 1 and the other amale framepiece 2. - B. Formed a hollowed
part 11 on thefemale framepiece 1 on the surface of built-in section. - C. Formed a
protruding part 21 on themale framepiece 2 on the surface of built-in section, and this male framepiece shall be inserted into the female framepiece in the relative section of 11 and 12 accordingly, and at the same time, on the surface of male framepiece, thepaper sheet holder 22 shall be formed. - D. The
paper sheet 3 shall be held at thepaper sheet holder 22 and then themale framepiece 2 shall be inserted into thefemale framepiece 1 correctly. - The invention will now be described, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
- Figure 1 shows an exploded view of a first embodiment of the invention indicating how each framepiece is constructed;
- Figure 2 shows an exploded side view of a second embodiment;
- Figure 3 shows a side view of a Shohji Door completed through the procedure of the second embodiment;
- Figure 4 shows an exploded side view of a third embodiment, and
- Figure 5 shows an exploded side view of a fourth embodiment.
- The drawings show a
female framepiece 1, with oblong shape, having a hollowedpart 11 in its surface as the built-in section. This hollowedpart 11 can be seen as forming a step in the drawings of Figure 1 to Figure 3, but, as shown in Figure 5, this part can also be formed as individual sockets. Thus, this part shall be available in the various styles, to be matched exactly with aprotruding part 21 of amale framepiece 2. - In Figure 1 to Figure 4, the
protruding part 21 is in the style of the frame and is intended to be built-in tightly into the above mentioned hollowedpart 11 accordingly. In Figure 5, theprotruding part 21 can be seen in the different style of individual plug shapes matching with thesockets 11 in theframepiece 1. - In the third embodiment, shown in Figure 4, the
male framepiece 2 itself is received into thefemale framepiece 1, and on the circumference ofmale framepiece 2, aflange 23 is provided. -
Reference numeral 22 identifies the paper sheet holder, and as seen in the drawings, it is the needle pin style to be set in theprotruding part 21 of the male framepiece or else to be set in the male framepiece directly. - This
needle pin 22 is received correctly into an associatedneedle pin hole 12, when the framepieces are received together as indicated in the Figure 1 embodiment example, and in the case of Figure 2 to Figure 5, a hollowed part shall be pre-drilled deeper so that the needle pin point may not reach to the surface of a hollowedpart 11. In a case where the female framepiece is made of wood, it is unnessary to prepare a needle pin hole or the like, since the pin itself will penetrate into the wood framepiece directly and smoothly. -
Reference numeral 3 identifies the paper sheet, consisted of, for example, sliding door craftpaper, decorative well cloth sheet, or other screen material sheets. The term 'paper sheet' is thus intended to be interpreted as covering all suitable screen material sheets and is not limited to paper itself. - The preferred embodiments of this invention have been mainly explained as above. This invention, however, is not only limited to the above embodiments, but also it is available for such arrangements as defined in the appended claims. The general change of the style, for example, against male/female framepiece, shall be made in accordance with design requests or with other requirements.
