Die Figuren zeigen jeweils einen Spulenhaltestab 10 eines Spulengatters für eine Strick- oder Wirkmaschine, der im vorliegenden Falle in einer Horizontallage dargestellt ist, der aber auch eine übliche Schräglage haben kann oder ein vertikaler Spulenaufsatzdorn sein kann. Auf den Spulenhaltestab 10 ist das quaderförmige Gehäuse 11 der allgemein mit der Bezugsziffer 12 bezeichneten Überwachungsvorrichtung aufgesteckt und mittels einer Klemmschraube 13 befestigt. Das Gehäuse 11 ist hierzu mit einem passenden Durchgangskanal oder einem angesetzten Halteauge versehen. In der Darstellung ist eine Wandung des Gehäuses 11 der Überwachungsvorrichtung 12 entfernt, um ihre Innenteile sichtbar zu machen. Ein wichtiges Vorrichtungsteil ist ein um eine Achse 14 verschwenkbarer, mittels einer Zugfeder 15 vorgespannter Schaltarm 16, der in seinem Mittelbereich auf seiner Rückseite einen stabförmigen Permanentmagneten 17 trägt. Am vorderen Ende des Schaltarmes 16 greift gemäß Fig. 1 ein um eine Achse 18 verschwenkbarer Riegelhebel 19 an, der einen im Bereich einer Gehäuseöffnung 20 befindlichen Freigabearm 19.1 aufweist. Auf der Rückseite des vorderen Endes des Schaltarmes 16 ist an einer Lagerstelle 21 ein als Schwenkhebel ausgebildeter Taster 22 gelagert. Der Taster 22 liegt parallel zu einem in der Zeichnung hinter ihm befindlichen Auflagearm 23, und die Tasterspitze 22.1 ist im Bereich der Auflagestelle 23.1 dieses Auflagearmes 23 in der aus Fig. 1 ersichtlichen Verriegelungsstellung der Überwachungsvorrichtung an ihm abgestützt. In dieser Sperrstellung befinden sich in der Öffnung 20 des Gehäuses 11 der Freigabearm 19.1 des Riegelhebels 19 und die Auflagestelle 23.1 des Auflagearmes 23 auf gleicher Höhe. In dieser Stellung ist die Überwachungsvorrichtung unwirksam. Sie kann in dieser Stellung auch bei aufgesetzter Garnspule, aber nicht angedrücktem Garnspulenkörper, gehalten bleiben. In Fig. 1 ist mit strichpunktierten Linien ein mit einem Garnwickel 33 versehener zylindrischer Garnspulenkörper 34 eingezeichnet, der auf die Spulenhaltestange 10 als Reservespule nur so weit aufgeschoben ist, daß der Spulenkörperrand 34.1 gegen den eine schräge Aufgleitfläche bildenden Kopf des Auflagearmes 23 anliegt. Fig. 2 zeigt eine auf den Spulenhaltestab 10 aufgeschobene konische Garnspule 32 mit einem konischen Garnspulenkörper 34ʹ, dessen Fußrand 34.1ʹ in das Gehäusefenster 20 so weit eingeschoben ist, bis der Auflagehebel 23 durch Aufgleiten seines Kopfes im Uhrzeigersinne gegen die Kraft der Feder 26 verschwenkt ist und seine Auflagestelle 23.1 auf dem freien Endbereich seiner äußeren Wickelfläche 35 aufliegt. Der Riegelhebel 19 ist durch den Anschlag des Spulenkörperrandes 34.1ʹ gegen seinen Freigabearm 19.1 ebenfalls im Uhrzeigersinne verschwenkt und somit der Schaltarm 16 freigegeben. Durch seine Freigabe hat sich der Schaltarm 16 unter der Einwirkung der Zugfeder 15 im Uhrzeigersinne so weit verschwenkt, bis der mit ihm gekoppelte Taster 22 mit seiner Tasterspitze 22.1 gegen die Stirnseite 33a des Garnwickels 33 der Garnspule 32 anliegt. Gleichzeitig wird die Tasterspitze 22.1 unter der Wirkung der Druckfeder 31 gegen die Wickelfläche 35 des Spulenkörpers 34ʹ gehalten. Claims (9)

  1. Apparatus for controlling the yarn remainder on a bobbin from which the yarn (36) is pulled off over head, with a probe (22) which lies sprung against yarn windings at the side facing away from the yarn-drawing side, characterised in that the probe (22) abuts against the face side (33a) of the yarn winding (33) and additionally against the winding surface (35) of the bobbin body (34'), and that it is longitudinally displaceable on the winding surface (35).
  2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the probe (22) is hinged to a switch lever (16) which is pre-tensioned by a spring (spring 15) and lockable in an initial position, and is supportably mounted on a support arm (23) which is slid onto the winding surface (35) of the bobbin body (34') at the push-on end (34.1') of the bobbin.
  3.   7. Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the switch arm (16) is fitted with a permanent magnet (17) which in its maximum pivot position (Fig. 3) is disposed in the vicinity of an electrical, magnetically affected switch member (28).
  8. Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that its parts are accommodated in a common housing (11), which comprises in the control area an aperture (20) for the probe (22), the support arm (23) and the release arm (19.1) of the bolt lever (19).
  9. Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the apparatus housing (11) comprises an accommodation aperture for mounting onto a bobbin receptacle, in particular on a spool support arm (10) or push-on mandrel.
