Description

The invention relates to a tape for forming an ornamental flower, decorative bow or the like. With two largely loosely lying but attached to each other at spaced-apart outer straps, preferably of the same width, and with at least one traction belt running between and between the fastening points, which at the end of the belt is fixedly connected to at least one of the outer bands, but is otherwise movable relative to the outer bands.

Such tapes are already known in a variety of forms and configurations. Solutions with a single drawstring are used to manufacture an ornamental flower or loop, while two drawstrings make it possible to simultaneously bind a package, which is then decorated with the appropriate decorative element.

As a rule, the two outer bands are glued in spots or strips, unless separate guide means for the tension bands are attached to the outer bands. These bond points leave a space for the drawstring (s) in the central area of the outer tapes. The outer straps can then be arched out and bent out between two fastening points if the pull strap or straps are pulled relative to the outer straps.

However, the production of these fastening points in particular is complex and in particular time-consuming. When gluing, it is necessary to apply an adhesive to the respective fastening points and to combine the outer bands with a corresponding press using two tools that press against each other. If the fastening points are welded, the two tools must not only act for a certain time, but also apply the required welding heat. Tools that must be precisely guided against each other are therefore required, which also require a considerable exposure time.

In order not to cause excessive stiffening of the outer bands through these connection points, which could hinder the deformation of the outer bands when contracted, efforts have been made to make these connection points as small and almost punctiform as possible, which in turn increases the manufacturing effort and in particular the requirement for precision and If the contact time is not long enough, these very small-area connection points fail during use and lead to a separation of the two outer bands.

The invention has for its object to provide a band of the type mentioned, in the manufacture of the two outer bands can be quickly and securely connected at individual attachment points, the connection points may be relatively large and therefore stable and still the mobility and flexibility of the whole Band is not or not significantly restricted in the area of the connection points of the outer bands.

The solution to this problem is that these penetrating perforations or punchings are provided at the connection points of the outer belts, the superimposed edges of which are welded. It can be used as a connection point only the edge of the perforation or punching must be welded all around.

The punching or perforation ensures that the connection area of the outer belts is weakened, that is to say made more flexible, while the welding of the edges of this perforation or punching nonetheless forms the connection of the outer belts and the guide for the inner pulling belt or belts and is of sufficient size for good stability. The stiffening created by the connection and welding is initially kept low by virtue of the fact that it runs practically only linearly, namely along the edge of the perforation or punching and, in addition, this perforation or punching makes the entire band in this connecting region more flexible and flexible, so that the stiffening produced by the connection and welding is removed or even greater flexibility of the band is created in this area than in the unconnected neighboring areas.

A very important further advantage of the invention is that the connection of the fastening points can be made by welding simultaneously with the punching or punching tool, which not only punches or punches them when penetrating the two strips lying one above the other, but can also weld them at the same time. A much faster way of working is possible because the punch stroke does not have to be as precise as a press stroke and the stroke time is sufficient as the exposure time for the welding. This means that production is not only faster and more precise, but also leads to a more favorable result because the connection points are highly flexible.

Embodiments of the invention and in particular training options with regard to the shape of the perforations and punchings and also their arrangement relative to the longitudinal edge of the band are the subject of claims 3 to 7. In particular, open-edge punchings result in good mobility, and the possibility of inclining these open-edge punchings also allows a correspondingly targeted deformation of the outer bands when they are pulled together.

Furthermore, an embodiment of the invention is possible in such a way that at the end of each band section to be separated there is a punched-out elongated slot lying transversely to the band course, the edges of which are welded and at the edge of which the traction band or bands are welded at the same time. In the case of a larger, initially contiguous supply of tapes, the separation point for cutting off an individual tape can also be designed in the advantageous manner according to the invention, which also results in the fixing of the tension tape or tapes.

In order not to require any additional welding means or adhesives for welding the edges of the punchings, the outer bands and / or the tension band (s) can expediently consist of plastic or plastic fibers, which are themselves weldable.

The invention is described in more detail below with its details that are essential to it, using the drawing.

It shows in a schematic representation:
  • 1 is a plan view of the band in the area of its initially existing connection to a neighboring band, the individual fastening points spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the band being drawn differently in order to indicate different possibilities,
  • 2 shows a cross section of the band along the line II-II in Fig.1,
  • Fig. 3 shows a cross section of the band along the line III-III in Fig. 1 and
  • Fig. 4 shows a cross section of the band along the line IV-IV in Fig. 1, wherein the thickness of the individual parts of the band is shown exaggerated in the cross-sections of Fig. 2 to 4 because of the better overview.

A band designated as a whole by 1 has, according to FIGS. 2 to 4, two largely loosely lying outer bands 2 of the same width which are fastened to one another at spaced locations and a tension band 4 which runs between and between the fastening points 3 and which is located at the end 5 of the band 1, where a next band 1 initially connects, is firmly connected to the outer bands 2 in a manner to be described, but is otherwise movable relative to the outer bands 2 in the longitudinal direction thereof. As a result, an ornamental flower or ornamental bow can be formed in a known manner, in that the outer bands and the drawstring are gripped next to one another at the end of the band 1 opposite the end 5 and then the drawstring is pulled or the outer bands are pushed back towards the end 5. Due to the distances between the fastening points 3 in the longitudinal direction of the outer bands 2, these bulge up and thus form a decorative bow or flower in a known manner if the fastening points 3 lead to differently directed bulges of the outer bands 2 due to an inclined position.

From the drawings it can be seen that at the connection points 3 of the outer belts 2 these penetrating holes 6 or punchings 7 are provided, their superimposed Edges 8 are welded. The holes 6 can of course also be formed by a punching process. It is shown above all in FIG. 1 that only the edge 8 of the perforation 6 or punching 7 is welded all round as the connection point 3. This results in a stable fastening point of relatively large extension, which is also a good guide for the tension band 4, but without the band 1 in the region of the fastening points 3 becoming too stiff because the perforation or punching makes the band particularly easy to move.

Fig. 3 shows in connection with the corresponding part of FIG. 1 that 4 circular holes 6 with welded edges 7 can be provided on both sides of the running area for the or the drawstrings, which results in a particularly simple punching and welding tool.

Um dabei eine Zierblume mit unterschiedlich orientierten Schlaufen der Außenbänder 2 bilden zu können, sind dabei die an ihren Rändern 8 verschweißten Langlochungen 7 schräg zum Bandverlauf und bevorzugt jeweils abwechselnd in unterschiedlichen Richtungen schräg angeordnet.FIG. 4 shows an embodiment in connection with the corresponding places in FIG. 1, in which instead of round perforations 6, elongated perforations 7 are provided which extend transversely to the longitudinal edge 9 of the band 1. In order to be able to form an ornamental flower with loops of the outer bands 2 oriented differently, the oblong perforations 7 welded at their edges 8 are arranged obliquely to the course of the band and preferably alternately arranged obliquely in different directions.

Fig. 4 makes it clear by a corresponding section line that either self-contained elongated perforations 7 or punched or open slots 7 with open edges can be provided, the edges 8 of which are welded together within the outer boundary by the outer edges 9 of the band 1. These open-edged slots do not necessarily have to be at an angle to the band, but are arranged in this way in the exemplary embodiment.

At the end 5 of the band 1 to be cut off, a punched-out elongated slot 10 is provided which lies transversely to the course of the band, the edges 8 of which are in turn welded and on the edge 8 the tension band 4 is also welded at the same time. Thus, a connection of the outer bands 2 and also of the tension band 4 is simultaneously achieved in this area by punching. In addition, this marks and prepares the separation point of the individual drawstrings 1, which are initially attached to one another in a row. Only the remaining connecting webs 11 need to be severed in the extension of the elongated slot 10 in order to detach one band 1 from the other.

The choice of the shape of the perforations 6 or punchings 7 depends on which decorative element is to be formed, which inherent rigidity, above all, of the outer bands 2 and also how these are dimensioned. In the case of very narrow strips, round perforations 6 with welded edges 7 may be sufficient as attachment points 3, while very wide strips 1 can expediently be provided with slots 7 which are open at the edge. As a rule, a band 1 will always have only one type of such fastening points 3, however, due to the advantageous and simple manufacture of these fastening points, the shape of the fastening points could also be changed over the length of the band 1. All in all, the fastening strips according to the invention fix the outer bands 2 to one another quickly and conveniently, with good perforation of the individual belt sections located between the fastening points being achieved by the perforation or punching. It should also be mentioned that, of course, between the perforations 6 according to FIGS. 1 and 3 and the outer edge 9, a further such perforation or an open-edge punching 7 could be provided if there is greater mobility of the entire band 1 or of the outer bands 2 would be desirable.

Overall, a band 1 results, the individual parts of which are securely fastened to one another, but which itself maintains a high degree of flexibility and whose outer bands 2 can therefore be deformed easily and comfortably, without, however, the danger of an unwanted loosening of the connection in the area of the fastening points 3. The production is simplified since the welding together can take place at the same time as the punching and for this much less precise working strokes are required than with a pressure welding.
