Quartäre Ammoniumverbindungen mit einem oder zwei langkettigen Ester- oder Amidresten von veretherten Hydroxycarbonsäuren und im übrigen kurzen Resten sind flüssige bis pastöse Substanzen, die sich in Wasser oder Alkohol/Wasser-Gemischen leicht lösen oder dis­ pergieren lassen.
