Abstract

The body of a dart for use in the game of darts comprises a barrel 10 and a dart point 12 which is removably insertable into a front portion of the barrel and which is held frictionally in position. The barrel 10 has a blind axial bore 16 extending from its front end, in which is fitted a resilient cylindrical bush 18 held captive in the bore 16 by a metal bush 20. The dart point passes freely through the metal bush 20 and fits frictionally within the resilient bush 18. The resilient bush 18 is a free fit in the bore 16 so that the point 12 is freely rotatable in the body 10 and axially movable freely to a limited extent in the body 10. The arrangement retains the dart point reliably in the body in normal use but allows the dart point 12 to be removed from the body 10 and replaced therein, by applying steady manual pressure.
