Description

The invention relates to a pressure control device according to the preamble of the main claim. A pressure control device is already known (EP-A-0 172607) in which a pressure control valve is already placed on a fuel rail and screwed to it. Due to the required seals, a certain size cannot be undershot, and the screw connection limits the options for installing the pressure control valve in the various directions of rotation given the large number of motor types.

Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention

The pressure control device according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that the sealing on the pressure control valve is significantly simplified and allows a reduction in size and any rotation of the pressure regulator to adapt the installation position of the pressure control valve to the different engine types.

The measures listed in the subclaims enable advantageous developments and improvements of the pressure control device specified in the main claim. It is particularly advantageous to use an elastic sealing ring as the seal, which is arranged in a sealing groove of the valve housing.

It is also particularly advantageous to use the valve seat body in a sealing manner in a valve seat support body connected to the valve housing, as a result of which the materials for the valve seat support body and the valve seat body can be selected differently and adapted to the requirements. For example, a material can be selected for the valve seat body in which particularly low wear and high corrosion resistance are guaranteed. B. the valve seat body made of ceramic.

Zeichnungdrawing

Two embodiments of the invention are shown in simplified form in the drawing and explained in more detail in the following description. FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of a pressure control device, FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment of a pressure control device.

Beschreibung der AusführungsbeispieleDescription of the embodiments

Die Kraftstoffverteilerleitung 1 ist mit einer Kraftstoffversorgungsleitung verbunden, die an den Förderausgang der Kraftstofförderpumpe angeschlossen ist.1 and 2, 1 denotes a rigid fuel rail, for example made of metal, of a fuel injection system for internal combustion engines, which has a plurality of plug connections 2, into which the fuel injection valves are inserted at one end. A cup-shaped receptacle 3 is connected to the wall of the fuel rail 1, for example soldered or welded. The receptacle 3 can also be integrally formed on the fuel rail and / or at least partially protrude into the fuel rail 1. In the wall 4 of the fuel rail 1 facing the receiving bushing 3, at least one inlet opening 5 is provided, which is aligned with a connecting opening 6 in the bottom 7 of the receiving bushing 3. The inlet opening 5 and the connection opening 6 can also have an annular shape. A pressure regulating valve 8 is inserted into a guide bore 47 of the receiving bushing 3 and projects with a valve seat support body 9 through a first push-through opening 10 in the receiving bushing 3 and a second push-through opening 11 in the wall 4 of the fuel rail 1 into an outlet port 12. The outlet connector 12 projects into the fuel rail 1 and penetrates the wall 13 of the fuel rail 1 'facing away from the pressure control valve 8 in an opening 14 in which it is tightly fastened, for example soldered. Instead of through the separate push-through openings 10, 11, the inlet opening 5 and the connection opening 6 can also be made so large that the valve seat support body 9 can be passed through the inlet opening 5 and the connection opening 6 while maintaining a sufficiently large flow cross section around its circumference. The valve seat support body 9 protrudes with its end protruding from the pressure control valve 8 into a receiving bore 15 of the outlet connector 12 and is provided on its circumference with an elastic sealing ring 16 for sealing against the receiving bore 15. The outlet pipe 12 penetrates in the axial direction an outlet channel 17 which leads in a manner not shown to a fuel tank or the suction side of a fuel feed pump. The fuel rail 1 is connected to a fuel supply line which is connected to the delivery outlet of the fuel delivery pump.

The valve housing of the pressure control valve 8 is formed from a bottom part 19 and a cover 20. The base part 19 is inserted into the receptacle 3 and has the valve seat support body 9, which is either connected as an independent part to the base part 19 or is part of the base part 19. Facing one another, the base part 19 has a collar 21 and the cover 20 has a collar 22, between which a flexible valve membrane 23 is clamped by means of a flange, not shown, or a separate flange ring 24, which has a fuel chamber 25 in the base part 19 from a spring chamber 26 in the cover separates. The bottom part 19 is in Axial direction penetrated by at least one inflow opening 27, which is aligned with the connecting opening 6, so that the inlet opening 5, the connecting opening 6 and the inflow opening 27 constitute an inlet channel through which fuel can flow from the fuel rail 1 into the fuel chamber 25. A compression spring 28 is arranged in the spring chamber 26, which is supported on the one hand on the cover 20 and on the other hand on a spring plate 30 which is fastened to the valve membrane 23 by means of a rivet connection 31 which seals through the valve membrane 23. The rivet connection 31 has a valve plate 32 projecting into the fuel chamber 25, which is movably mounted in the rivet connection 31 by means of a ball 33 and a retaining clip 34. The valve plate 32 is acted upon by the compression spring 28 in the direction of a valve seat 35 which is formed on a valve seat body 36 and from which the outlet channel 17 extends. If the fuel pressure in the fuel rail and thus also in the fuel chamber 25 rises above a value predetermined by the force of the compression spring 28, the valve plate 32 is lifted off the valve seat 35 and fuel can flow out via the outlet channel 17.

An air connection piece 38 is attached to the cover 20, via which the spring chamber 26 can be connected to the air intake pipe of the internal combustion engine downstream of a throttle valve by means of a hose connection, not shown.

The valve seat support body 9 has at its end facing the fuel chamber 25 a holding bore 39, into which the valve seat body 36 is inserted and is kept sealed therein with the interposition of an elastic sealing ring 40 by means of a flange 41, so that even when the pressure control valve is closed, i.e. when the valve plate is closed 32 is present on the valve seat 35, no leak fuel from the fuel chamber 25 can get into the outlet channel 17 via the holding bore 39.

The bottom part in FIG. 1 has on its circumference an only radially open sealing groove 42, in which a seal is arranged, which seals in the radial direction and is designed as an elastic sealing ring 43. The receptacle 3 surrounds the bottom part 19 of the pressure control valve 8 in the axial direction from the bottom 7 continuously in an area at least so far that a secure seal between the bottom part 19 and the receptacle 3 is ensured by the sealing ring 43.

To axially fix the pressure control valve 8 in the receiving bushing 3, the receiving bushing 3 can be provided at its end facing away from the fuel rail 1 with at least two flanges 44 that run approximately parallel to the fuel rail and extend away from the pressure control valve and on which at least one holding body 45 faces away from the fuel rail 1 abuts, which is connected to the flanges 44 by means of screws 46. The pressure control valve 8 has a larger diameter in the radial direction in the area of the flare ring 24 than the guide bore 47 of the receiving bush 3, into which the pressure control valve 8 is inserted, so that the flare ring 24 bears against the flanges 44. Averted from the flanges 44, the holding body 45 has an angular shoulder 49 which engages on the flanged ring 24 opposite the flanges 44 and fixes the pressure control valve 8 in the axial direction on the flanges 44 by means of the screw connection 46. The angular shoulder 49 can be ring-shaped and provided with a push-through opening 50 through which the cover 20 of the pressure regulating valve projects.

The exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 only in that the sealing groove 51 for the elastic sealing ring 43 is arranged on the end of the pressure regulating valve 8 facing the bottom 7 of the receiving bushing 3 and in both the radial direction and the axial direction Bottom 7 is open, so that the sealing ring 43 inserted into the sealing groove 51 is clamped and sealed in the axial direction by the clamping of the pressure control valve 8 by means of the holding body 45.

The pressure control devices according to Figures 1 and 2 have the advantage that they can be made very small because of the only one required sealing ring 43 on the circumference of the pressure control valve and thereby also rotates and fixes the pressure control valve 8 in the receptacle 3 to adapt to different engine types can be.
