- the ferrite ring 7 Since the ferrite ring 7 has a very small magnetic resistance to air, the field lines of the electromagnetic field excited by the solenoid 5 of the resonant circuit close via this ferrite ring 7, so that the metallic hollow body 3 of the shaped charge lies in an essentially field-free space. In the metallic hollow body 3, therefore, no eddy currents which dampen the resonant circuit in an impermissible manner can be induced.
- the induction of eddy currents in the ferrite ring 7 can be limited to an admissible value without difficulty because the material for the ferrite ring 7 can have a high permeability and a comparatively large specific ohmic resistance, which prevents the induction of larger eddy currents and thus the damping of the resonant circuit in an acceptable area.
- a sufficiently large coil field can thus form in the direction of the target, which is changed by the target when the target approaches, so that the associated detuning of the resonant circuit of the proximity switch for igniting the shaped charge can be exploited.
- proximity switches according to the invention can be used with particular advantage in the case of shaped charges for mines, the invention is of course not limited to limited this use case. Missiles, grenades and projectiles with shaped charges can also be provided with such proximity switches if the shaped charge needs to be detonated at a certain distance from the target.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a proximity switch for igniting a shaped charge, in particular for a mine, using an electrical resonant circuit with a solenoid.
In the case of mines for combating land vehicles, it is known to provide proximity switches for detonating the explosive charge, these proximity switches being controlled by sound waves or changes in a magnetic field. Proximity switches of particularly simple design and reliable function are obtained on the basis of resonant circuits which are detuned by the approaching vehicle and trigger the mine to ignite. Such proximity switches based on electrical resonant circuits cannot, however, be used to ignite shaped charges because the metallic hollow body in front of the explosive charge causes excessive damping of the resonant circuit due to the eddy currents induced in the hollow body.
The invention is therefore based on the object to avoid this deficiency and to provide a proximity switch for igniting a shaped charge on the basis of an electrical resonant circuit, the responsiveness of which is not impaired by the hollow metal body of the shaped charge.
The invention solves this problem in that the upstream of the metallic hollow body of the shaped charge ver with an electrostatic shield see solenoid of the resonant circuit on its side facing away from the target with a coaxial ferrite ring is connected and electrically isolated.
By providing a coaxial ferrite ring assigned to the cylindrical coil of the resonant circuit on the side of the coil remote from the target, the field lines of the electromagnetic field excited by the cylindrical coil penetrate the ferrite ring essentially radially due to the magnetic resistance of the ferrite ring, which is substantially lower than air, so that a disturbing field propagation in the area of the metallic hollow body of the shaped charge is prevented. Therefore, no eddy currents will be induced in the hollow metal body of the shaped charge.
Since the ferrite ring can be produced from a material of high permeability and a comparatively large specific ohmic resistance, the eddy currents induced by the coil field in the ferrite core can be reduced to an allowable level without endangering the functionality of the proximity switch. In this context, it must be taken into account that the proximity switch should only respond when the target is at a comparatively small distance from the shaped charge, and a corresponding spreading of the coil field in the direction of the target by the ferrite ring on the side of the coil remote from the target cannot be prevented. In order to ensure the functional reliability of such a proximity switch, however, care must be taken to ensure that the ferrite ring is connected to the solenoid of the resonant circuit so as not to be displaced, so that relative movements between the solenoid and the ferrite core cannot lead to a detuning of the resonant circuit which may cause the proximity switch to respond . The electrostatic shielding of the cylindrical coil of the resonant circuit serves the same purpose, so that capacitive interference can be eliminated. Thermal influences, such as B. a temperature drift, are due to the circuit closed electronics can be compensated.
The ferrite ring can be connected to the cylindrical coil of the resonant circuit in various ways, since the only thing that is important is that the ferrite ring is assigned to the cylindrical coil so that it cannot move. Particularly advantageous design conditions are ensured, however, in that the ferrite ring is connected to the cylindrical coil of the resonant circuit by an electrically insulating adhesive layer. This adhesive not only makes other connecting means which possibly influence the formation of the coil field superfluous, but also provides effective electrical insulation between the solenoid or its electrostatic shielding and the ferrite ring.
To hold the solenoid of the resonant circuit and the ferrite ring connected to the solenoid can be embedded in an electrically insulating potting compound, the solenoid with the ferrite ring can first be inserted into a plastic housing, which is then filled with the potting compound, which preferably consists of a permanently elastic material is formed.

The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example. Show it

Fig. 2 shows the cross section of the solenoid of the resonant circuit of the proximity switch on a larger scale. 1, the shaped charge shown consists of a
Since the
Although proximity switches according to the invention can be used with particular advantage in the case of shaped charges for mines, the invention is of course not limited to limited this use case. Missiles, grenades and projectiles with shaped charges can also be provided with such proximity switches if the shaped charge needs to be detonated at a certain distance from the target.
