Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kühl- oder Gefriergerät gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.The invention relates to a refrigerator or freezer according to the preamble of claim 1.

Bei einem bekannten Kühlgerät dieser Art (DE-A-32 05 963) ist als Handhabe zur Betätigung einer Tür ein schwenkbarer Handgriff vorgesehen, der beim öffnen der Tür über eine damit gekuppelte Ventilanordnung einen Luftweg von außen in den vom Gerätegehäuse und der Tür umschlossen Kühlraum freigibt. Die Ventilanordnung ist in den Türkörper eingebaut und bei unbetätigtem Handgriff geschlossen. Dadurch baut sich nach einem dem öffnen folgenden Schließen der Tür durch die Abkühlung der Luft sowie durch die unmittelbar und über ihre gesamte Länge dicht am Auflagerand des Gerätegehäuses aufliegende elastische Dichtung ein Unterdruck im Kühlraum auf, der die Tür über ihre Dichtung mit erheblicher Kraft in der Schließstellung hält. Dieser Unterdruck gleicht sich bei einer Betätigung der Handhabe über die damit gesteuerte Ventilanordnung mit der Außenatmosphäre aus. Dieses Band liegt somit in der Dichtungsfuge, so daß die Dichtung nur im übrigen Abschnitt unmittelbar auf dem Auflagerand aufliegt. Es ist zudem beidendig im Bereich des Dichtungsfußes festgesetzt sowie in der Länge so bemessen, daß bei fehlendem Druckunterschied zwischen der Außenatmosphäre und dem Kühlraum die Dichtung bei geschlossener Tür im Bereich des in der Dichtfuge liegenden Bandes noch zum Auflagerand des Gehäuses hingezogen wird und das Band auf dem Auflagerand aufliegt. Wird die Tür durch Zug an dem starr auf die Tür aufgesetzten Handgriff in Öffnungsrichtung gezogen, dann strecken sich die Dehnungsfalten zwischem dem Dichtungsfuß und dem Magnetstreifen in dem Bereich, in dem das Band nicht vorgesehen ist. Im Bereich des Bandes wird die Dichtung mit der beginnenden öffnungsbewegung von dem zugehörigen Abschnitt des Auflagerandes selbsttätig abgehoben, nachdem das Band eine Streckung der Dehnungsfalten in diesem Bereich nicht zuläßt. Bei diesem Aufbau schwächt das zwischen dem Magnetstreifen und dem Auflagerand des Gehäuses liegende Band die Schließkraft der Dichtung gegenüber dem Auflagerand, so daß bereits dadurch die Gefahr besteht, daß im normalen Betrieb in diesem Bereich bei Unterdruck im Kühlraum Außenluft einströmt und ein Reifansatz eintritt. Zudem muß die Länge des Bandes sehr genau abgestimmt sein. Insbesondere sind jedoch an den quer zur Dichtungslängsrichtung verlaufenden Rändern des Bandes von außen nach innen durchgehende Luftkanäle gebildet, da das Band eine endliche Dicke aufweist und der Magnetstreifen aufgrund seiner Steifigkeit erst nach einer gewissen Strecke die ihn umgebende Hülle an den Auflagerand andrücken kann. Besonders über diese Luftkanäle tritt ein ungehinderter Luftaustausch statt, der dazu führt, daß sich im betreffenden Bereich innerhalb des Kühlraumes infolge der Bildung von Schwitzwasser Eis- und Reifschichten anlagern.A refrigerator or freezer is also known (US Pat. Die Abhebevorrichtung kann dabei nachträglich außen an der Tür angeordnet werden, und das Ventil bildet keine verdeckten Teile, so daß ein guter Zugriff möglich ist, falls eine Vereisung in diesem Bereich eintritt. Wird der Dichtungsabschnitt durch die Handhabe vom Auflagerand des Gerätegehäuses abgehoben, dann kann ungehindert Luft von außen in den Kühlraum einströmen und den Druckausgleich herbeiführen. Die Türöffnungskraft ist dann allein durch die der Dichtung zugeordnete Magnetleiste bestimmt, die üblicherweise in der Dichtung angeordnet ist und letztere in dichter Anlage mit dem permanentmagnetischen Auflagerand des Gerätegehäuses hält. Durch die für das Öffnen der Tür erforderliche Zugbewegung wird dann über die Betätigungslasche die Abkröpfung (15) in Anlage mit der Dehnungsfalte (8) der Dichtung (4) gebracht, die beim weiteren Ziehen der Handhabe (13) zum Handgriff (10) hin im unmittelbar benachbarten Abschnitt (18) gemäß Figur (3) unter Zusammendrücken der Hohlkammer (7) abgehoben wird. Im Bereich des Abschnitts (18) kann dann Luft von außen in den Kühlraum (2) einströmen und den Druckausgleich herbeiführen. B. beim Öffnen der Tür mit dem Daumen gedrückt wird und über ein Gestänge beispielsweise eine im Gehäuse gelagerte Wippe betätigt, die unmittelbar mit einem Arm unter die Dichtung greift oder einen Schieber, Bolzen oder dergleichen zur Dichtung hin verstellt und so die Dichtung vom Auflagerand teilweise abhebt.In addition, it is also possible to operate a lever device with the handle (13), which can be attached to the housing (1) and z. Claims (8)

  1. A cooling or freezing apparatus, in particular, a refrigerator or freezer with a door (6), which makes sealing engagement with a supporting rim (3) of the apparatus casing (1) via a resilient sealing member (4), and with a manually actuatable handle (13,14) which is adjustably guided on the door and which is coupled with a ventilator arrangement that, upon an adjustment of the handle (13,14) provides an air passage to the cold storage chamber (2) enclosed by the apparatus casing (1) and the door (6), characterised in that the handle (13,14) is in engagement with a limited section (18) of the sealing member (4) that makes sealing engagement with the supporting rim (3), and, when actuated, removes the section (18) from the supporting rim (3).
  2. A cooling or freezing apparatus, according to claim 1, characterised in that the sealing member (4) has a hollow chamber section (7) with an expansion fold (8) and an attached magnetic strip (5), and is fastened on the door (6), and that the handle (13) is provided with an actuating strip (14) that engages the sealing member (4).
  3. A cooling or freezing apparatus according to claim 2, characterised in that the actuating strip (14) is formed sheet metal which is guided on the door and with a joggled end extends behind the expansion fold.
  4. A cooling or freezing apparatus according to claim 1, or one of the following claims, characterised in that a hand grip (10) with a grip opening (12) is fastened and that the handle (13) projects into the grip opening (12).
  5. A cooling or freezing apparatus according to claim 2, or one of the following claims characterised in that the actuating strip (14) is angled to form a handle (13) at its end remote from the sealing member (4) and that the handle extends into the grip opening (12) between the door (6) and a hand grip (10) and is spaced therefrom respectively.
  6. A cooling or freezing apparatus according to claim 4 or 5, characterised in that the handle (13) is adjustably guided in the base (11) of the hand grip (10) on the narrow external face of the door (6).
  7. A cooling or freezing apparatus according to claim 4 or one of the following claims, characterised in that the handle (13) extends over approximately the full free height of the grip opening (12).
  8. A cooling or freezing apparatus according to claim 1 characterised in that the handle is linked to a lever device which is attached to the casing (1) and engages with a lifting out device which is inserted in the support rim under a section of the sealing member and is pressable towards the sealing member and away from the supporting rim.
