Abstract
Description
- 1.- It concerns a life saving ap aratus which is placed on the neck of the user,as a collar, and which is constructed from a firstly-known material of dilated, chloric polyvinyle ( P.V.C)
-
- a) It consists of two(2) compact bulks of a semi-circular cross -section being connect with each other, at the rear part, with a rope thus creating a joint and,in the front,an agraffe (brooch) or a knot, in order to be -entirely- adjusted on the neck of the individual using it.-
- b) In the inner space of the cheeks of the semi-circular bulks there are grued pices of a soft, foamy, elastic material for the better and more convenient fitting of the life saving apparatus to the neck.-
- A fabric( waist-coat- jacket) may, also,be stiched together on the two, compact bulks and-at the rear part- a ribbon to be added ,of a length of two meters, passing it through the leg and binding it at the front part of the life saving apparatus.-
- At the fron part of the life saving apparatus there is an under chin item for the better holding up of the head above the water - c) The weight of the life-saving apparatus is-approximately-500 grams, whereas its lifting capability is bigger than six (6) kilograms.-
-
- a) It is light and easily used and it does not need a special maintenance or any sort of preparation ( e.g to be filled up with air),it is of an immediate use,of a cared construction and of a great safety.-
- b) Its placement on the neck and its special construction from the prodromal material P.V.C renders it capable of keeping the body of the user upright in the water, his respiratory organs out of the water and from that position the user is able to be turning his head and his whole body, freely, and-in general-to have them free for any desirable movement.-
- Even if the user finds himself in a prone position( with his belly towards the water), his head and his body are, always, vertical towards the water and out of it. In case that the user finds himself lying on his back( with his back on the water) the " life saving apparatus " on the neck is a good pillow,in whatever way it may be worn,as both its sides are the same.-
- Finally, even if the user - at the time of his falling into the sea-loses his sences, regardless of whether he is naked or has his shows and clothes on,the said life saving apparatus due to the way it is is bein fitted upon his neck, keeps him upright with his head and respiratory organs out of the water.- - c) In general,it has the following advantages :
- The life-saving apparatus absorbs no water at all and-consequently- its lifting capability is not being reduced.-
- It is not affected by the petroleum products and other chemicals and, therefore,it does not wear out.-
- It does not deteriorate(alter),due to weather conditions.-
- It maintains all its properties even at a temperature exceeding the 100° C.-
- It,fully, resists to the attraction(traction) of pressure and it does not suffer from any sort of rotting due to the lapse of time or for not having been used for a long time.- -
- 1.- Compact,semi-circular bulk.-
- 2.-Foamy Elastic.-
- 3 and 4.- Holes for the passing of the rope.-
- 5.-Inner,vacumm space of the neck.-
- 6 and 7.- Joints for the connecting with the rope.-
- 8.- Coupling of the two(2) bulks round the neck with a piece of rope.-
Claims (1)
- The technical characteristics of the invention "Individual lifesaver made out of enlrged P.V.C. of closed hive type " -cloric polyvinyl - are as described here below :1. It is well known that the human head represents the heaviest part of the body and that by the use of the habitual lifesavers which are being placed on other parts of the human body ( chest hands shoulder waiste ) the drowning of human beings are not avoided, especially of individuals who are losing their senses while in the water because with the saving means known as of now there is not possible for the head and for the respiratory means of the human being to be maintained outside the water under any circumstances.2. Therefore there was the idea of descovering a manner which were to technically hold the head outside of the water and the respiratory organs of the man with any circumstances prevailing and so the drowning be avoided. This idea lead me to the manufacturing of a new individual lifesaver which would be placed at the neck, that is to say at a location ,position of the body, whereby it will hold steadily the head outside of thewater.
A new future also is the utilisation of a new kind of material which is the PVC which is by far much more advantageous than all the materials known untill now which is being used in the nets of fishermen and which is suggesteed as the material for the manufacturing of my individual lifesaver.
This said material has also these advantages :
- does not draw -soak- any water thus its lifting power does not diminish at all.
- does not suffer from the petrol products and other chemicals and thus does not get waisted
- does not suffer deteriorations due to weather conditions.
- maintains all of its qualities even at 100° temperature Celsius.
- resists absolutely to the pressure and to suction and does not suffer any damage with the passage of time or with much time of not being used.
The technical description of this lifesaver as analysed in the "description" and the drawings which are submitted together are the technical manner of applying if the above idea and it is in these that my claim consists of, I mean for the protection of my invention.
