Description

The invention relates to a multi-piece packaging for at least two containers, such as e.g. Cans around which a band-like strip is placed in the lower region, the end sections of which are connected to one another in an overlapping manner in at least one adhesive seam.

Such a multi-piece packaging is known from US Pat. No. 3,195,719, which, however, cannot provide sufficient hold for the objects placed.

The invention has for its object to provide a multi-piece packaging of the type mentioned, which is simple and inexpensive to manufacture and provides the containers with a relatively good hold.

This object is achieved in that the containers are glued to one another and that the containers, in particular in the case of more than two arranged in series, are glued to the strip at least at points.

Such a design results in a completely sufficient cohesion of the containers, brings an additional advertising space and - which is of great importance when using automatic cash registers - effectively covers the price coding of the individual containers, so that only the price of the multi-piece packaging is automatically read and registered.

According to the invention it is further proposed in a band-like strip of cardboard that the punctiform gluing is arranged within a circular scoring line in the cardboard material, and when the band-like strip is torn off the container, material splitting occurs in the cardboard material within the area enclosed by the scoring line.

In this way, a clean detachment of the strip from the containers is achieved without the strength and durability of the multi-piece packaging being impaired.

Another solution according to the invention is that a rear wall section is hinged to a bottom wall section via a fold line, to which two side wall tabs are attached, which encompass the two outer containers and which are at least partially fixed to a front wall section.

Such a flour packaging is very easy to produce with simple machines or even by hand. However, it still represents a durable and firm packaging for the containers.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention also lies in the fact that the rear wall section extends over the entire height of the containers and is connected at its upper end to a cover surface via a fold line, that the front wall section also extends over the entire height of the containers and is articulated on the cover surface and that the front wall section is connected to the bottom wall section by means of a molded-on strip and an adhesive seam, the side wall tabs molded onto the rear wall section being glued to the front wall section.

This creates a multi-piece packaging, which guarantees the containers an extraordinarily firm hold.

Another very advantageous embodiment of the invention is that the front wall section is formed on the bottom wall section via a fold line, that the rear wall section is formed higher than the front wall section and preferably extends to the upper edge of the containers, and that the side wall tabs extend from the rear wall section to the front wall section narrow.

With this multi-piece packaging, the containers also have sufficient hold; nevertheless, the surface of the containers is largely visible, so that their advertising space can appear fully.

A further advantageous embodiment is characterized in accordance with the invention in that the rear wall section extends at least approximately to the upper edge of the container and is connected to a handle which projects beyond it.

This ensures easier handling, particularly in the case of multi-piece packaging for many and heavy containers.

It is very advantageous in the case of multi-piece packaging for containers arranged in two rows if, according to the invention, two single-row multi-piece packs are arranged with their rear wall sections against one another and connected to one another by means of a handle.

Due to the central arrangement of a handle part, a symmetrical weight distribution is achieved, which has a very favorable effect on handling.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the handle can be designed as a separate component and fastened between the two rear wall sections.

A very advantageous embodiment of the invention is that the bottom wall section is substantially triangular in shape with the container shape, that the rear wall section provided with the side wall flaps is articulated on one leg of the bottom wall section, and that a front wall section is articulated on each of the other two legs , wherein the two front wall sections are connected to one another via tabs formed on them.

In a multi-piece packaging of this type, three containers are packaged very effectively, with excellent stability and security being achieved.

A very stable multi-piece packaging for containers arranged in two rows is achieved according to the invention in that the side wall tabs are formed over a side wall section on the bottom wall section and are connected to both the front wall section and the rear wall section by gluing or the like.

  • Fig. 5 is a diagram of a triangular multi-piece packaging in which three containers are combined and
  • Fig. 6 is a diagram of a multi-piece packaging similar to the embodiment of FIG. 2, with can-shaped containers arranged in two rows.

In the embodiment of FIG. 1, a band-like strip 2 is placed around these three containers, which holds the containers together. The strip 2 is closed along an adhesive seam (K) and is provided on its inside in the area of each container 1 with two circular scoring lines (not shown). A hot melt adhesive is attached to each of these scoring lines, which ensures an intimate connection of the strips and the container. When the strip is torn off, the cardboard material is split within the scoring line, so that the hotmelt remains on the container with a circular section 4 of half the cardboard thickness, as is shown at the broken-open central section.

Instead of gluing between the container and the strip, it is also possible to glue the containers together. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, the containers 1 are encased in a cardboard sleeve which has a bottom wall section 3, a rear wall section (not shown), a top surface 5 and a front wall section 6. The top surface 5 is connected to the two adjacent wall sections by a fold line 7 and 8, respectively. A strip 9 is formed on the front wall section 6, which is folded over the bottom wall section 3 and connected to it in an adhesive seam. On the two free side edges of the rear wall section, side wall tabs 10 and 11 are formed, which encompass the two outer can-shaped containers and are glued to the front wall section 6.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the three can-shaped containers 1 standing in a row are combined in a multi-piece packaging. In the case provided for this purpose, both a rear wall section 104 and a front wall section 106 are molded directly onto a bottom wall section 103. The front wall section 106 only extends approximately up to half the height of the containers 1, while the rear wall section 104 is higher and extends to the upper edge of the containers. On this rear wall section, side wall tabs 110 and 111 are formed, which comprise the two outer containers and are glued to the front wall section 106. The two side wall tabs 110 and 111 narrow from the rear wall section to the front wall section and correspond approximately to the height thereof.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4, two such multi-piece packagings, as described with reference to FIG. 3, are connected to one another. The rear wall sections 104 face each other and are connected to one another via a handle 12 glued in between.

However, it is also possible to provide a two-layer handle, to form the two layers on the respective rear wall section and to connect the two layers to one another via a fold line arranged at their upper end.

In addition, it is possible to attach or form such a handle even in a single-row multi-piece packaging.

Darüber hinaus sind an den Vorderwandabschnitten ebenfalls nicht dargestellte Lappen angeformt, die zum Verbinden der beiden Vorderwandabschnitte untereinander dienen.5 is provided for three can-shaped containers 1, which stand on a triangular bottom wall section 203. The corners of this bottom wall section are rounded to adapt to the round container. A rear wall section 204 is articulated on one of the straight legs of the bottom wall section, on which two side wall tabs 210 and 211 are formed. A front wall section (not shown), to which the side wall tabs are fastened, is articulated on the two other legs. In addition, tabs (not shown) are also formed on the front wall sections and are used to connect the two front wall sections to one another.

Sie dient jedoch der Verpackung von zwei Reihen von dosenförmigen Behältern 1.In Fig. 6 a multi-piece packaging is shown, which is similar in design to that shown in Fig. 2. However, it is used for packaging two rows of can-shaped containers 1.

A rear wall section 304, a front wall section 306 and two side wall sections 314 (only one visible) are hinged to a bottom wall section 303. The two side wall sections 314 each carry two side wall tabs 310 and 311, respectively, which are glued to the front wall section and the rear wall section. A connecting strip 313 is articulated on the rear wall section, which is folded under a cover surface 305 articulated on the front wall section and glued to it. In the front wall section 306, two perforation lines 315 are provided which run over its entire width and delimit a tear strip between them which serves to open the multi-piece packaging.
