Abstract

Zum Her­ stellen der Pellets erzeugt man zunächst eine Mischung, deren Anteil an feinkörniger Hartbraunkohle mindestens 80 Gew.-% beträgt, wobei die Hartbraunkohle eine Kör­ nung von höchstens 1 mm aufweist. Die zu pelletierende Mischung besitzt einen Wasser- und Feuchtegehalt von 10 bis 25 Gew.-% und einen Gehalt an Betonit von 4 bis 10 Gew.-%. Aus der Mischung formt man unter Zugabe von Wasser als Pelletierflüssigkeit feuchte Pellets, die einen Wasser- und Feuchtegehalt von 25 bis 35 Gew.-% aufwei­ sen. Die feuchten Pellets werden in einer wasserdampfrei­ chen Atmosphäre getrocknet, dabei wird der Kern der Pel­ lets auf mindestens 90 °C aufgeheizt, bevor die Pellets ein Zehntel oder mehr ihres Wassergehaltes verlieren.
