Description

The present invention relates to a packaging container made of cardboard or similar material, in particular a box made of blanks and / or glued blanks and rectangular in base and cross section with a lower part provided for storing and removing individual parts and an upper part which can be put over and which closes the lower part. which has wall areas which can be folded open around a fold acting as a hinge on the upper side of the upper part and which opens an access opening to the lower part.

Packaging containers of the type mentioned are known. For example, a so-called handkerchief box is commercially available, the upper part of which has a flap that can be opened from the front and is open at the top, around a fold that acts as a hinge, and an access opening to the lower part that is formed by front, side and upper wall areas. The lower part has an upper and front opening that extends down to close to the base area, from the edge regions of which protrude inward, the available stacks of paper handkerchiefs are prevented from falling out.

A packaging container designed in this way is indeed suitable for storing and removing fabric or paper goods, but not for individual parts such as screws, rivets, washers, split pins, nails and the like. The like. Small parts of the metal goods trade. Here it was common, among other things, to store these small parts in cardboard boxes, each of which consist of a lower part and an upper part that can be put over it. The table of contents such as diameter, length, thread size, etc. was indicated on the front or top of the box top by means of adhesive labels.

Disadvantages of such slip boxes are, inter alia, that the lid must be removed completely to remove a part, which is cumbersome and time-consuming. In practice, swapping the tops meant that the names of the contents were mixed up. In many cases, even when removing the lid, a limited shelf height was seen as a hindrance and consequently as a disadvantage.

For small iron parts, therefore, suggestions for storage in boxes have already become known, in which a head wall is designed to be pivoted forward about a hinge in the vicinity of the base, which is designed as a fold. However, packaging containers of this type have the disadvantage that the small parts, which are usually stored therein in an unordered filling, slide after the pivotable wall part and lock it against the closing direction.

Furthermore, a packaging container is known from US-A-30 44 680, in which the upper part and the lower part are made in one piece. Here, the lid of the packaging container consists of a continuous wall section, which is connected to the adjacent side wall via a bending edge (fold). On this cover, side wall sections are bent at right angles in the direction of the container bottom, which serve as guide tabs, and on their edge opposite the bending edge, the guide tabs are designed in the shape of a circular arc, so that pivotability within the container is given. Here, the angle enclosed by the two other edges of the guide tabs is 90 °. so that a complete opening of the lid is not possible without the guide tabs disengaging from the container. In addition, due to the one-piece design of the packaging container, there is the disadvantage that the container must be filled via the removal opening, but the folded-up lid is annoying.

The present invention is based on the object, starting from a packaging container of the type described above, to improve it in such a way that there is easy access from above without lifting off the upper part, the function of the slip box consisting of the upper and lower part being retained and there is an inexpensive production as a so-called folding container from blanks by folding and / or gluing on conventional machines.

The object is achieved with a packaging container made of cardboard or similar material, which in particular represents a box made of blanks and / or glue, rectangular in cross-section and cross-section, consisting of a lower part provided for the storage and removal of individual parts and a cover which can be put over it, consists of four side walls connected to one another at right angles via an upper, flat wall, the upper part closing the lower part, the upper wall being divided by a fold into a rear and a front wall section and at the rear wall section side wall sections being bent at right angles in the direction of the lower part are connected to the associated side walls forming the longitudinal walls and are formed on the front wall section - starting at the fold and starting from the longitudinal edges of the front wall section ending at the fold - serving as a guide tab side wall sections which sen perpendicular to the upper side in the direction of the lower part and are formed in a circular arc at its edge opposite the fold, so that there is pivotability within the upper part, the one of the upper longitudinal edges connected by the edge and the transverse longitudinal edges of the side wall sections included angle is> 90 ° and the guide flaps designed as side wall sections are connected to the upper part via predetermined breaking points in the region of the slits separating the side wall sections.

Due to the design according to the invention, the character of the slip box and its function is fully preserved, and there is the additional possibility that without removing the lower part, the articles in the container can be removed from above through an access opening which can be easily closed again after removal , can be done. In this case, however, guidance within the container is ensured in any case, so that it can be closed without any problems.

Further advantageous embodiments of the packaging container according to the invention are contained in the subclaims.

The invention will now be explained in more detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings. Show it:
  • 1 is a perspective view of a packaging container according to the invention, the lower and upper part are shown separately from each other,
  • 2 is a perspective view of the upper part of FIG. 1 with the access opening open,
  • 3 is a plan view of a blank for producing the upper part according to FIG. 2,
  • 4 is a plan view of a further embodiment of a blank for producing the upper part according to FIG. 2.

Die Wände 5, 6, 7, 8 umschließen den nach oben offenen Innenraum 9 des Unterteils 2.A packaging container 1 according to the invention preferably consists of cardboard and has a lower part 2 and an upper part 3. The two parts 2 and 3 are rectangular in base and cross section. The lower part 2 has a flat bottom 4 and each two end walls 5, 6 and two longitudinal walls 7, 8 and is thus designed in the usual way as a lower part of the known slip boxes. The walls 5, 6, 7, 8 enclose the interior 9 of the lower part 2, which is open at the top.

The upper part 3 consists of its two longitudinal walls 10, 11 and the two end walls 12, 13. The upper part also has an upper, flat wall 14 which closes the upper part. This wall 14 is divided into two wall sections 15, 16 by a fold 17 running parallel to the end walls 12, 13. This fold 17 is hinge-like. The wall 14 is designed as a folding blank which is separate from the longitudinal walls 10, 11 and the end wall 13 and is connected to the end wall 12 via a bending edge 18. On the two longitudinal edges of the wall 14, side wall sections 19, 20 are formed in the region of the wall sections 15, 16. These side wall sections 19, 20 are bent at right angles to the wall 14 in the direction of the lower part and run parallel to the longitudinal walls 10, 11 within the upper part 3. The side wall sections 19 are integrally formed on the wall section 15 and are associated with the respectively assigned longitudinal wall 10, 11, preferably connected by gluing. The side wall portions 20 are separated from the side wall portions 19 by transverse to the longitudinal edges of the wall 14 slots 21, so that the wall portion 16 together with the molded. th side wall sections 20 can be pivoted upwards about the fold 17, as shown in FIG. 2, and thus releases an access opening 22. The side wall sections 20 have edge edges 23 which run in the form of a circular arc, so that there is free pivotability within the upper part 3. The longitudinal edges 24, 25 of the side wall section 20 connected by the edge 23 are preferably of the same length, so that the radius of the circular edge 23, starting from the fold 17 as the pivot axis, is at least equal to the length of the longitudinal edges 24 and 25. As can further be seen from FIG. 2, in a circular arc area in front of the edges 25 of the side wall sections 20 there is an increase in the radius R by an amount a, the amount R + a being less than / equal to the height h of the upper part. This increase in radius ensures that in the opened state, as shown in FIG. 2, self-retention is achieved by an increased friction or clamping caused by the increase in radius. The side wall sections 20 serve as guide tongues when opening and closing the wall section 16. The edges 25 of the side wall sections 20 preferably form an obtuse angle with the upper edges 24, as shown in the figures. The angle enclosed between these two edges should be at least 90 °, but an angle greater than 90 ° is preferably present. This results in an enlargement of the guide area of the side wall sections 20 within the upper part.

The fold 17 runs at a distance from the front edge 26 of the wall section 16 which is less than or equal to the height of the upper part.

It is also expedient according to the invention, as shown in FIG. 1, if the slots 21 between the two side wall sections 19, 20 are not completely formed, but at least one connection between the two side wall sections in the slot area is in the form of a type of predetermined breaking point 27 . As a result, the upper part can initially be used in the usual way as the upper part of a slip box, and only when it is desired can the pivoting of the wall section 16 with its guide tabs be made possible by breaking open the predetermined breaking points 27.

Furthermore, it is advantageous if a grip tab 28 is also formed on the front edge 26 of the wall section 16, with which the wall section 16 can be easily gripped and thus pivoted about the fold 17 to open or close the access opening.

Due to the above-described configuration according to the invention, the side wall sections 20 serving as guide lugs run in the upturned state of the upper part on the lower part between the longitudinal walls 10, 11 and 7, 8 of the upper part and lower part, so that the Interior parts of the lower part can not hinder the pivoting of the guide tabs.

As can be seen from this, the upper part according to the invention can thus be produced from a single cardboard blank, using conventional machines, so that very inexpensive production is possible.

This cut is structured as follows. It has a basic T shape, the upper horizontal T-leg being formed by the cut parts forming the two longitudinal walls 10, 11 and an end wall 12, the parts for the end wall 12 being arranged between the two longitudinal wall parts. The vertical T-leg is composed of the two parts for the wall sections 15, 16, the part for the wall section 15 adjoining the part for the end wall 12. The parts for the side wall sections 19, 20 are connected to the longitudinal edges of the parts for the wall sections 15, 16. In an extension of the part for the wall section 16, two tab section parts 28a, 28b are integrally formed, which together form the grip tab 28. The part of the blank forming the end wall 13 adjoins the outer tab section part 28b. The two tab section parts 28a, 28b are connected via a bending fold 29 and the part forming the end wall 13 is connected to the tab section part 28b via a tear-off fold 30, which enables a separation between the grip tab and the end wall. On the two longitudinal edges 31 of the part for the end wall 13, adhesive tabs 32 are formed opposite one another, which serve to connect the end wall 13 to the side walls 11, 12. Before the cover is produced by appropriately folding over the parts forming the wall sections, a pre-folding takes place according to the invention, for which purpose an adhesive layer is first applied to the tab section parts 28a, 28b on their mutually facing sides. Then the end wall 13 is formed. Folded part with the tab section part 28b around the bending fold 29 by 180 °. In this case, the sides of the tab portion parts 28a, b provided with adhesive come into mutual contact and glue to one another, so that the grip tab 28 is formed. Subsequently, the part forming the end wall 13 is folded back again by 180 ° around the tear-off fold 30, adhesive being glued between the outside of the end wall 13 in the folded-back position by the selective application of adhesive to the outside of the flap 28b, which faces the end wall 13 and the tab is done. The lid blank pre-folded in this way is then folded and glued to the lid in the usual drop process. By means of the tear-off fold 30 provided according to the invention, the wall section 16 of the cover can then be pivoted upwards about the fold 17 during use by tearing off the tab from the end wall 13, as is explained in the above.
