Dargestellt und beschrieben ist eine Fehlerstromschutz­ schaltung (1) mit einem Summenstromwandler (4), der zwei Primärwicklungen (5, 6) und eine Sekundärwicklung (7) auf­ weist, und mit einer Auslöseschaltung (8), die einen Auslöse­ transistor (9) und zwei Steuereingänge (10, 11) aufweist und der Sekundärwicklung (7) des Summenstromwandlers (4) nachgeschaltet ist. Glättungskondensator (14) enthält, daß der Pluspol (15) der Gleichrichterschaltung (12) an den ersten Steuerein­ gang (10) der Auslöseschaltung (8) angeschlossen ist und daß zwischen dem Minuspol (16) der Gleichrichterschaltung (12) und dem zweiten Steuereingang (11) der Auslöseschaltung (8) eine von einem Hilfsstrom durchflossene Hilfsimpedanz (17) vorgesehen ist. Vorzugsweise ist die Gleichrichterschaltung (12) als Villardschaltung ausgeführt und als Hilfsimpedanz (17) eine Hilfsdiode vorgesehen.
