Durch diese Anordnung ist es auch weiterhin möglich, daß das Gewicht des Antriebsmotors zur Erzeugung des hohen, erforderlichen Anpreßdruckes beiträgt, welcher zum Vortrieb der Schlitzwandfräse in einem harten Boden notwendig ist. Somit kann insbesondere bei Beton- oder Felsböden einerseits das hohe Drehmoment pro Schneidzahn und andererseits ein hohes Gewicht für den Anpreßdruck erzielt werden. Gemäß Figur 1 besteht die Schlitzwandfräse 1 im wesentlichen aus einem von einem Tragseil 3 gehaltenen Tragrahmen 5, an dem eine Absaugvorrichtung mit Pumpe 7 befestigt ist. Das Kettengetriebe 27 besteht im wesentlichen aus einem am Antriebsmotor befestigten Kettenrad 29, einer Kette 31 und einem auf der Sonnenradwelle angeordneten Kettenrad 33. Die Kette 31 verbindet dabei den Antriebsmotor 9 und die Son---radwelle 21 in vertikaler Richtung und ist einerseits dadurch geschützt, daß sie in einer Ausnehmung im Lagerschild 13 verläuft und andererseits dadurch, daß sie in dem Bereich zwischen Antriebsmotor 9 und Lagerschild 13 gekapselt ausgeführt ist, d.h., sie ist in diesem Bereich mit einem Gehäuse 35 geschützt. Mit dieser geraden und direkten Übertragung des Antriebsmomentes vom Motor 9 auf die Sonnenradwelle 21 und die damit verbundenen Planetengetriebe der Fräsräder ist es möglich, eine schnell laufende Kette 31 mit zunächst geringem Antriebsmoment zu verwenden, wobei das Drehmoment in den Planetengetrieben dadurch erhöht wird, daß die Drehzahl verringert wird und gleichzeitig durch die in den Fräsrädern zur Verfügung stehenden großen Hebelarme ein hohes Drehmoment erzeugt wird.
