While the web blocks 34 in the collapsed state (FIG. 3) face the cross bars 10 at the end, the longitudinal ones are found spars 36 in corresponding recesses 38 on the underside at the ends of the cross spars.
- the struts 26 together with their hinge bolts 40 as well as the hinge bolts 12 and 18 are expediently made of metal in order to give them the desired strength with economical dimensioning.
- these parts could also be made of hardwood, for example.
- the combination described can be set up and folded up easily by just one person without turning it upside down and without the use of a tool.
- the struts 26 only have to be lifted out of their notches 28 one after the other on a long side of the table, after which the legs 6 in question can then already be folded down.
- only one of the two longitudinal edges 42 of the table top 2 lowers to the height of the benches 8 and, if necessary, a kinked lying surface is obtained which offers space for several people side by side.
- the combination should the combination be entirely together - i.e. are laid flat, only the struts 26 need to be unhooked on the other side and the legs in question must be folded down.
- the struts 26 automatically drop into the notches 28 under their own weight, so that the erection can be carried out solely by lifting the table top 2.

Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine zusammenlegbare Bank-Tisch-Kombination gemäß Gattungsbegriff des Patentanspruchs 1.The invention relates to a collapsible bench-table combination according to the preamble of claim 1.
Such a bench-table combination, consisting essentially of wood, is known from US Pat. No. 4,060,275. In this case, in the area of both ends of a rectangular table top, spread pairs of legs which are hinged to one another by transverse hinges can be folded against one another, while the benches connected to one another by cross bars can be moved into the plane of the table top which is accommodated between them. Prior to this, a strut articulated longitudinally on the table top between the relevant pairs of legs must be folded down toward the table top, for which purpose the entire combination is advantageously turned upside down. The benches, together with their cross bars, form a separate part that, when in use, rests on additional cross bars that are firmly connected to the legs, but can be lifted off them and possibly. is even separable from the table part. The combination in question is characterized by robustness and good stability by an appealing rustic appearance, but due to the above-mentioned circumstances, its manageability and sturdiness leave something to be desired.
An easily collapsible and stowable bench-table combination, where the individual elements are hinged joints with hinge axis which can be displaced laterally in part via slots are shown in FR patent specification 1 125 391. Here, however, the table legs together with the supports for the benches consist of multi-angled metal tubes which also form the hinge axes. This does not create a rustic look, and the lack of a strut - the legs are only fixed in their upright position by a certain inclination - carries the risk that the entire combination will suddenly collapse when used, and then those on the benches seated persons are squeezed on the thigh.
The invention is therefore based on the object to design a bench-table combination according to the generic term so that it is easy to handle and stowable with the possibility of an appealing rustic appearance.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
The features in question allow easy folding and re-erection without the need to reverse the combination. The individual parts can remain captively connected to each other and are fixed in their respective positions by the upright as well as the folded legs, which especially facilitates transport for storage purposes. When folded, a flat plate is obtained which can easily be leaned against a wall or stacked in many copies. When unlocking only on one side of the table, a lying down surface for sunbathing or the like can be obtained that offers space for several people next to each other.
Die Unteransprüche gehen bevorzugte Ausaestaltungsmöglichkeiten der Erfindung an.The subclaims address preferred development options of the invention.
- Fig. 3 einen entsprechenden Schnitt bei zusammengelegter Kombination.
- 1 is an elevation of the bench-table combination in question, seen from one of the long sides of the table in the erected state,
- Fig. 2 shows a section through the same combination in the plane of line II-II of Fig. 1 and
- Fig. 3 shows a corresponding section when the combination is folded.
The bench-table combination shown consists essentially of a
More specifically, the legs are hinged to the
The arrangement is also such that the
Die Scharnierbolzen 12 befinden sich dabei an den Außenenden der Schlitze 14.In the erected state (state of use) of the combination according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the
The stability and stability of the construction is further improved in that the
In contrast to the combination described above, which is essentially made of wood, the
The combination described can be set up and folded up easily by just one person without turning it upside down and without the use of a tool. To fold, the
