L'application consiste à remplacer le support traditionnel (panneau d'affichage, enseigne) par un écran ou récepteur vidéo, plus ou moins plat, selon les possibilités de la technique, alimenté en message par un lecteur approprié et un dispositif horaire intégrés. Les écrans vidéo peuvent être regroupés en systèmes collectifs et reliés à une unité centrale de commande, qui les alimente en messages, par un lien matériel (câble téléphonique, coaxial, optique, etc...) ou par ondes hertziennes. Description

DISPLAY PANELS AND VIDEO SIGNS the present invention consists of a new application of known techniques of video and flat screens to communication and media media in the specific context of private, public and advertising billboards and signs.

Communication transmitted by traditional means takes place using static information and images and in most cases carries a single message. the message is sometimes multiplied by mechanical devices, communication, according to these traditional techniques, is poor in capacity, in efficiency, and its implementation is often heavy, materially and financially. the new application according to the invention makes it possible to remedy these shortcomings of traditional communication by substituting the new techniques of video and flat screens for the material supports used until now. the new communication medium replacing the display panel or the sign is constituted by a screen or video receiver, of any size, more or less flat, according to the possibilities of the technique, provided in messages by an appropriate reader or a control room central. Its nature allows dynamic communication, unlimited capacity, possibly sound, and the flexibility of its use eliminates the material and financial heaviness of its implementation and maintenance. the application can take two main forms:

1) In an individual and isolated form.

2) In a collective form by associating isolated elements in a more or less vast system.

This new concept of automatic video communication by display panel and video sign (videotic) is similar to automatic information (computer) which exists in two forms, personal computer and computer networks. .

The central messages are received either directly on the peripheral video screens (1 - 2) or indirectly through special devices (such as video projection on a receiver screen) or any other telecommunication method.

Interesting applications of the invention are the communication of companies (signs and shop windows of traders, craftsmen, liberal professions, various firms) and the communication of advertisers (individual or network display panels).

Claims

1. Application of video techniques and flat screens to communication and media supports by signs, private, public or advertising display panels, characterized by the use of video screens or receivers, of any size, more or less flat according to the possibilities of the technique, replacing traditional supports (signs, display panels), supplied with visual and sound messages, either in individual form by video-cassettes, video-discs and an appropriate player and / or video-projection, either collectively by remote control messages from a central unit.

2. Application according to claim 1, characterized by the individual form (more or less flat video screen according to the possibilities of the technique and isolated) or the collective form (by more or less flat video screens according to the possibilities of the technique, grouped together or by sectors).

3. 6. Application according to claim 5 characterized by the direct reception on the screens or peripheral receivers of messages from the central unit, or indirect by special devices (such as video projection on receiver screen) or telecommunications.
