A toner resin composition comprising a toner resin and a cobalt complex azo compound of the formula: wherein M(+) is a cation
X & Y are each independently H, C₁₋₄alkyl, C₁₋₄-alkoxy, halo or -SO₂Z
Z is C₁₋₄alkyl, C₁₋₄-alkenyl or NRR¹ and
R & R¹ are each independently, H, C₁₋₄-alkyl, C₁₋₄ alkenyl or phenyl,
and a toner composition, suitable for use in electro-repro­ graphic processes, comprising the toner resin composition and a colorant.
