Definitions
- the invention relates to a heel holder, as specified in the preamble of claim 1.
- the step spur is designed as a two-armed angle lever.
- the rear of this lever carries a control cam, which is associated with a projection of a spool which forms the locking element and which is acted upon by the locking spring. If the protrusion is in the area of the step spur above the swivel axis, which corresponds to the driving position of the heel holder, the step spur releases the ski boot. If, on the other hand, the projection lies against the area of the control curve of the step spur located below the pivot axis, the step spur is pressed against the underside of the ski boot by the detent spring. The tread spur therefore engages with frictional engagement.
- This embodiment is not readily applicable to all heel holders, but only to those in which the latching element acted upon by the latching spring is arranged on a piston which can be displaced parallel to the top of the ski. Furthermore, the ski boot must be on a relatively thick base plate in order to make it possible to pivot the tread spur relative to the upper side of the ski without the upper side of the ski having to be milled. Finally, the axis of the step spur is exposed to the full pressure of the detent spring, which leads to rapid wear of the heel holder.
- the step spur is also formed by a two-armed angle lever which is pivotally mounted in the binding housing and is under the influence of a tension spring.
- a stop attached to the bearing block is assigned to this two-armed angle lever. As long as the hold-down is folded up, said lever is prevented from pivoting by the stop. However, if the heel holder is in the driving position, the lever can pivot under the stop against the force of the tension spring and release the ski boot.
- This construction has the disadvantage that the ski boot in the area of the outer surface of the heel is damaged by the lever, which, when it rests on the heel, forms an acute angle with the outer surface.
- DE-OS 23 40 420 discloses a heel holder with a step spur, the longitudinal lower edges of which are chamfered, which lie in the closed position of the heel holder in a ski-fixed backdrop provided with chamfered edges.
- the step spur available for closing the heel holder is intended to influence the control of the side release at the same time.
- a further latching which consists of one on the base plate trained locking recess and consists of a provided on a spring-loaded locking element. This means that a total of two separate latches are required for lateral control.
- the aim of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantages of the known designs and to provide an arrangement of a step spur which can be used with almost all heel holders, in which the ski boot is released from the influence of the step spur in the driving position of the heel holder, but at the beginning of the step-in process of the step spur is held in its forward-pivoted position by positive locking.
- step spur at an obtuse angle and the arrangement of the articulation axis at the kink point of the step spur for the latch result in a particularly favorable geometric configuration.
- a simple arrangement is created for the arrangement of a spring which urges the bolt into the locked position.
- the base plate with two recesses, one of which is used to receive the free end of the step spur and the other to receive the extension of the front wall of the housing, the partition between the two recesses forming the stop for the latch .
- Fig.l shows a partially sectioned front view of the heel holder in the driving position
- Fig.2 shows a detail of the same in the boarding position on a larger scale.
- the heel holder has a base plate 1 on which a bearing block 2 is pivotably mounted on a vertical axis 3.
- the bearing block 2 carries a transverse axis 4 for a binding housing 5 which is open at the bottom. This has a hold-down device 7 at its end adjacent to the ski boot 6.
- an arcuate slot 8 ' is recessed in which a pin 8 is guided.
- the pin 8 is held in a manner known per se by a control cam arranged on a lever loaded by a detent spring.
- the detent spring can be set for different release forces.
- the lever is pivotally mounted inside the bearing block 2, and the detent spring is arranged in a recess in the bearing block 2.
- the binding housing 5 On its wall 5 'adjacent to the ski boot 6, the binding housing 5 has a transverse axis 11 on which a step spur 12 is pivotably mounted.
- the wall 5 ' is extended downward beyond the base surface of the binding housing 5 and bears a projection 5 "on this extension.
- a roller 13 is mounted on an axis 13 'which is circular in shape in plan view Guide rail 14 of the base plate 1 can roll when the bearing block 2 is pivoted about the axis 3.
- the step spur 12 is designed as a one-armed lever which is angled in its central region. At its kink, the step spur 12 carries a pivot axis 15 on which a bolt 16 is mounted, which is under the influence of a leg spring 17.
- two recesses 18 and 19 are provided, between which there is a wall 20 which serves as a stop for the bolt 16.
- the recess 18 serves to receive the angled end of the step spur 12 and the recess 19 to receive the extension 5 'of the projection 5'.
- the heel holder operates as follows: Before the ski boot 6 gets into the heel holder, the step spur 12 is in the position shown in FIG. In this, the step spur 12 is pivoted towards the ski tip, and the bolt 16 is against its dead center position under the influence of the leg spring 17 beyond the projection 5 ". The step spur 12 can therefore not pivot back when the ski boot 6 is placed on it by the user.
- the position of the step spur 12 remains upright until the binding housing 5 has passed the release point of the heel holder. As soon as this point is reached, the hold-down 7 snaps under the influence of the detent spring into the position which it assumes while driving. The step spur 12 has thus become superfluous. For this reason, during the pivoting path of the binding housing 5 below the trigger point, the top of the wall 20 meets the bolt 16, which is now pivoted counter-clockwise against the action of the leg spring 17 and thereby makes it possible to pivot the kicking spur 12 counterclockwise.
- the heel of the ski boot 6 is only held between the holding-down device 7 and the base plate 1, but not between the holding-down device and the step spur 12. This makes it much easier for the ski boot 6 to be released in the event of a fall. This is of particular importance for ski bindings which have a rigid toe piece, since here the ski boot 6 must easily come loose from the heel holder even in the event of a pure fall.
- the guide rail 14 is only provided with two V-shaped ramps, but not with a locking groove between the ramps, so that the heel holder also opens when the ski shoe 6 has a torque in a plane parallel to the top of the ski acts.
- heel holders that differ in their construction from the heel holder shown can also be equipped with a step spur according to the invention will.
- the heel holder according to the invention could also be arranged on a sole plate which has a front jaw at its front end and can be pivoted relative to the ski about an axis perpendicular to the top of the ski.

Abstract
A step spur (12) is pivotally mounted on the housing (5) of a heel holder. The step spur (12) can be blocked by a bolt (16) relative to the housing (5). The step spur (12) is angled at an obtuse angle and carries an articulation axis (15) in its break point, on which the bolt (16) is pivotably mounted. A pivot spring (17) urges the bolt (16) into its locked position. In the entry phase with a ski boot, the step to close the heel holder is fully effective. On the other hand, in the driving position the step spur (12) is pivoted in such a way that the ski boot can be released even when using rigid toe pieces.
Description
The invention relates to a heel holder, as specified in the preamble of
Such a heel holder is described in DE - AS 23 40 416. With this heel holder, the step spur is designed as a two-armed angle lever. The rear of this lever carries a control cam, which is associated with a projection of a spool which forms the locking element and which is acted upon by the locking spring.
This embodiment is not readily applicable to all heel holders, but only to those in which the latching element acted upon by the latching spring is arranged on a piston which can be displaced parallel to the top of the ski.
In another embodiment of a heel holder (see DE-OS 25 35 483), the step spur is also formed by a two-armed angle lever which is pivotally mounted in the binding housing and is under the influence of a tension spring. A stop attached to the bearing block is assigned to this two-armed angle lever. As long as the hold-down is folded up, said lever is prevented from pivoting by the stop. However, if the heel holder is in the driving position, the lever can pivot under the stop against the force of the tension spring and release the ski boot.
This solution was also unsuccessful in practice, since the stop wore out over a long period of use and therefore the distance between the step spur and the hold-down device increased.
When executing a heel holder according to AT-PS 311.851, this disadvantage does not occur insofar as a lever is arranged on the heel holder instead of a step spur, which acts on the lateral surface of the heel of the ski shoe. This lever is only pivoted against the heel via a special control mechanism when the heel holder is in the open position. In the driving position of the heel holder, however, the lever either lies inside the binding housing or runs parallel to the outer surface of the heel of the ski boot at a distance from the outer surface.
This construction has the disadvantage that the ski boot in the area of the outer surface of the heel is damaged by the lever, which, when it rests on the heel, forms an acute angle with the outer surface.
Auf diese Weise soll der zum Schließen des Fersenhalters vorhandene Trittsporn gleichzeitig die Steuerung der Seitenauslösung beeinflussen.DE-OS 23 40 420 discloses a heel holder with a step spur, the longitudinal lower edges of which are chamfered, which lie in the closed position of the heel holder in a ski-fixed backdrop provided with chamfered edges. In this way, the step spur available for closing the heel holder is intended to influence the control of the side release at the same time.
However, in order to achieve this goal, a further latching must be provided, which consists of one on the base plate trained locking recess and consists of a provided on a spring-loaded locking element. This means that a total of two separate latches are required for lateral control.
The aim of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantages of the known designs and to provide an arrangement of a step spur which can be used with almost all heel holders, in which the ski boot is released from the influence of the step spur in the driving position of the heel holder, but at the beginning of the step-in process of the step spur is held in its forward-pivoted position by positive locking.
This aim is achieved in a heel holder according to the preamble of
The fact that the spur in its pivoted position towards the ski boot can be blocked by a pivotable latch with respect to the housing means that a fully effective spur is available for the user during the entry process with the ski boot. However, if the heel holder is closed, the latch is pivoted into the ineffective position by the stop, as a result of which a release of the ski boot from the heel holder is made considerably easier during a release process.
In the claims 2-5 advantageous developments of the heel holder according to the invention are protected.
The configuration of the step spur at an obtuse angle and the arrangement of the articulation axis at the kink point of the step spur for the latch result in a particularly favorable geometric configuration. According to a further feature of the invention, a simple arrangement is created for the arrangement of a spring which urges the bolt into the locked position.
To support the latch in its blocking position beyond the dead center position, it was found to be particularly advantageous if the front wall of the housing is extended downward beyond its base surface and bears a projection pointing towards the ski boot.
It is also advantageous to provide the base plate with two recesses, one of which is used to receive the free end of the step spur and the other to receive the extension of the front wall of the housing, the partition between the two recesses forming the stop for the latch .
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown purely schematically. Fig.l shows a partially sectioned front view of the heel holder in the driving position and Fig.2 shows a detail of the same in the boarding position on a larger scale.
The heel holder has a
The
The mechanism acted upon by the detent spring, of which only the
On its wall 5 'adjacent to the ski boot 6, the
The
The heel holder according to the invention operates as follows: Before the ski boot 6 gets into the heel holder, the
If the
In the driving position of the heel holder, the heel of the ski boot 6 is only held between the holding-down
Of course, the invention is in no way tied to the embodiment shown in the drawing and described in the above. Rather, various modifications thereof are possible without leaving the scope of the invention. For example, heel holders that differ in their construction from the heel holder shown can also be equipped with a step spur according to the invention will. For example, the heel holder according to the invention could also be arranged on a sole plate which has a front jaw at its front end and can be pivoted relative to the ski about an axis perpendicular to the top of the ski.
