Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for generating an excess of negative ions in closed rooms or in an air stream.
An excess of negative ions has many advantages. The small ions generated are immediately deposited in the air on dust, odor molecules, water vapor and other charged particles, form clusters and aerosols and precipitate out of the air. They also attach to bacteria and viruses as well as all types of germs and thereby develop a germicidal effect. In addition to the air-cleaning effect, the production of a constant excess of negative ions can reduce the air germ content by 60 to 85%.
Due to the continuous generation of negative small ions in the rooms, there is also a very favorable biological effect. While positively charged air ions essentially consist of charged carbon dioxide, which release the irritant hormone serotonin from the tissue, negatively charged air ions are mainly charged oxygen, which accelerates the breakdown of the serotonin by influencing a ferment.
In addition, the creation of a constant excess of negative oxygen ions is expedient, since they can be similar to a catalyst, oxygen amounts, e.g. by changing the barometric pressure.
Such devices for generating negative ions are known. They are arranged on the ceilings, for example to generate as much ions as possible over a large area. Ionization tips are also used, which are located in the devices. With such ionization tips, the electrostatic field is greatest near the tip and then slowly degrades. The room is filled very unevenly with negative ions. It is also not possible, or to participate desired ion counts per cubic centimeter sen to different easily as-large rooms p. It can be seen, for example, that at a distance of 50 cm from an ionization tip there are 220,000 ions per ccm, at 100 cm there are only 120,000 ions per ccm and at a distance of 150 cm there are only 35,000 ions per ccm.
The object of the invention is to provide a room with the most uniform possible density of ions. In addition, the facilities should be cheap and easy to manufacture, modularly expandable and work very reliably.
The solution to the problem according to the invention is that in a convection shaft penetrated by the air flow in the air flow direction and at negative high voltage ionization peaks are arranged and the convection shaft has an electrically highly insulating coating on the inside and an electrically highly conductive coating on the outside.
This measure breaks a completely new path. If you want to avoid electrical flashovers from ionization peaks, then a high electrical resistance must be present in the vicinity of these peaks so that an "electron wind" is formed. However, this measure is not enough, because measures or devices on the outer wall must be designed so that the outer wall has a higher conductivity than the inside, so that the charge flows off, because only if it is high charge difference between the U-profile and the ionization band, ion generation is possible. The effectiveness of this ion rail depends on the electron wind, which is why the back of the special version is perforated.
It follows that the use of a U-rail, which is highly insulated on the inside and highly conductive on the outside with respect to electrical currents, can achieve the object according to the invention if these ionization tips are fixed on a narrow copper band in such a way that that they lie in the "electron wind" or convection current that is formed and that because of the presence of bands, the entire space can be filled uniformly with negative ions.
The further features serving the invention are given in the claims.

- FIG. 7 schematically shows another possibility of achieving ion generation with the U-profile closed.
In the figures, the device 1, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, is formed by the generator and the U-shaped rail. As can be seen in FIGS. 3 and 4, a
On the outside, on the electrically highly conductive side, a
Figur 6 zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel einer derartigen Spannungsquelle. Dabei ist dem Regelknopf 24 die Spannung einstellbar.Figure 6 shows an embodiment of such a voltage source. The voltage of the
In particular, it should be noted that, as shown in Figure 7, also by suction, e.g. by passing air in the direction of arrow 27 suction at the open end 28 in the direction of arrow 26. In this case the U-profile 25 is closed. It is only essential that air moves past the needle tips in the direction of arrow 26, as is achieved in detail, is irrelevant to the invention.
The field of application of the invention includes all possibilities for securely and economically attaching ionization tips in a convection channel, this convection channel also serving to generate an electron wind in addition to generating an air flow.
