- the core 4 can consist of corrugated cardboard, foam or another filling material.
- the mutually facing sides of the wall plates 1 and 2 are toothed together and a pivot axis 5 is drawn in the form of a rubber strand through the overlapping teeth, so that the wall plates 1 and 2 can be pivoted against each other.
- the rubber strand 5 is anchored at the upper and lower ends by knots or gags or the like on one of the wall plates.
- the wall panels 1 and 2 are each divided into an upper and a lower panel half 1 ', 1 "and 2', 2", respectively, as shown in FIG. 3, on the front or back of the wall panel 2, the jacket 3 over the parting line led away and provided with a folding groove 6. On the opposite side, the jacket 3 is cut along the butt joint.
- the folding groove 6 forms a hinge around which the upper wall halves 1 'or 2' can be folded down onto the lower wall halves 1 "or 2". After folding down, the wall panels 1 and 2 can also be folded against one another because of the elastically deformable strand 5.
- Fig. 2 shows the same embodiment as Fig. 1 with the difference that the abutting narrow sides of the wall panels 1 and 2 are flat. Otherwise, the same reference numerals designate the same parts in the example according to FIG. 1.
- the rubber-elastic strand is zigzag through the abutting narrow sides and anchored at the upper and lower ends with one of the wall panels 1 and 2, respectively.
- the strand 5 forms one rubber-elastic hinge element, around which the two wall panels 1 and 2 can be folded against each other.
- the wall panels 1 and 2 are divided into two halves in a horizontal plane and, as shown in FIG.
- the upper plate halves 1 ', 2' can be folded down onto the lower plate halves 1 "or 2", after which the folded wall plates can be pivoted against each other again.
- the jacket 3 is severed below the butt joint and parallel to it. This procedure is indicated when the jacket 3 is printed and the printed image can be filled out from two parts to fill the entire wall height. This makes it possible to print on the front and back of the wall panels 1 and 2 with continuous images. This is further facilitated by the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 3 and 4.
- ends of the jacket 3 are clamped together in an overlapping manner, the visible end being led out to the narrow side.
- the two jacket ends are squeezed in the overlap area, so that the common thickness is equal to the jacket thickness.
- the jacket ends are overlapped, but in order to avoid an annoying gradation, it is not the overlapping jacket ends but the core 4 that is squeezed in the overlap region by the jacket thickness.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a wall of rectangular wall plates connected in a hinge-like manner with connecting elements, which have a core which is covered by a jacket.
Walls of this kind for exhibition purposes are known, for example, and are described in DE-U-7 906 948. In order to be able to do justice to their exhibition purpose, they generally have to have a height of at least 180 cm, which means that they are space-consuming for transport.
The object of the present invention is therefore to make an exhibition wall of the type mentioned at the outset transportable in a space-saving manner.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the hinge-like connecting elements are elastically stretchable and the wall plate is divided at right angles to the hinge-like sides into two plate halves, that the butt joint between the plate halves on the front or back is covered by the jacket and the jacket along Butt joint is provided with a folding groove.
The invention creates the possibility of reducing the wall that can be folded like a harmonica for transport by half by folding it down. In a simple manner, connecting elements are attached in that the connecting elements consist of a rubber-elastic strand which, in the case of two abutting wall plates, is led through the one and then through the other wall plate at intervals and anchored with its ends to one of the wall plates.
In this embodiment, the rubber-elastic strand only needs to be passed through a corresponding opening in the narrow side of the wall plate with a rod or with a tool and fastened at the end with a knot. A straight line pulling of the elastic strand is possible when the abutting narrow sides of two adjacent wall panels are serrated and mesh with each other like a piano band. The rubber-elastic strand can be pulled in with a tool if the abutting narrow sides are flat and the strand is guided zigzag through the wall panels.
If it is provided that one end of the jacket overlaps the other end and that the visually overlapping jacket end is flush with a vertically arranged narrow side, printing on the jacket layer is considerably simplified compared to the embodiments known today, in which the ends of the jacket layer in Butt joint area of a broadside.
In order not to disturb the printed image of the cladding layer in the overlap area by means of a gradation, it is provided that the wall plates in the area of the overlapping cladding ends have bruises in order to avoid a gradation in the corresponding broad side, the overlapping cladding ends and / or the core being crushed.
In particular, the jacket can be printed on the front and back in a simple manner if, on the wall side on which the butt joint is covered with the jacket, the jacket is made in two parts and the two jacket parts abut parallel to and at a distance from the folding groove .
- Fig. 3 einen Schnitt längs der Linie 111-111 in den Fig. 1 und 2,
- Fig. 4 einen Schnitt längs der Linie IV-IV in Fig. 2,
- 1 is a vertical section in the plane of the wall consisting of two wall panels,
- 2 shows the same representation as FIG. 1 of a second embodiment of the wall,
- 3 shows a section along the line 111-111 in FIGS. 1 and 2,
- 4 shows a section along the line IV-IV in FIG. 2,
- Fig. 5 shows a cross section through a first embodiment of a wall plate and
- Fig. 6 shows the same representation as Fig. 5 by a second embodiment of a wall plate.
The wall shown in Fig.1 consists of two
Fig. 2 shows the same embodiment as Fig. 1 with the difference that the abutting narrow sides of the
As shown in FIG. 3, on the plate side carrying the
