Alle diese Teile können beispielsweise aus Aluminiumprofilrohren bestehen. Am hinteren Gleitstück 27 ist das Auflager 14 zur Feststellung des hinteren Hebelarms beispielsweise durch Kleben, Löten oder Schweissen befestigt. Im Rastenträger 26, der Rasten 30 zur Festlegung der Höhenlage des Verstellschlittens 23 aufweist, ist auch das Schwenklager 7 samt der bereits besprochenen Reibungsbremse untergebracht. Claims (4)

1. A closet unit for combination with a built-in closet, including a tiltable multi-purpose table-top, in particular for use in hospitals, which is adjacent to a recess in this closet receiving the head of a bed, whose longitudinal axis is essentially normal to the front of the closet, and which is provided with a tilting mechanism for a table-rest on a side facing the recess, the said mechanism enabling a table-top to assume its position of use next to the closet unit or above the bed placed in the recess, wherein the tilting mechanism has a two-armed tilting lever, which is attached to a side-wall of the unit configured as a floor-to-ceiling closet, such that the said lever can be pulled out in a direction essentially normal to the closet front, said side-wall running essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bed, and wherein the tilted-down front arm of said lever is considerably longer than the rear arm which may be tilted towards the rear of the closet unit, the end of said rear arm resting against a stop for securing the said lever in its tilted-down position, which stop is adjustable in its vertical position, and wherein the table-top can be fastened to the tilted-down front arm of said lever by means of brackets mounted on one of its sides, and wherein both the tilting axis (7') of the two-armed tilting lever (6) and the stop (14) for the rear arm (13) of said lever are positioned on an adjustable sliding block (23), which is vertically adjustable on the side-wall (3) of the closet unit (1) facing the recess (2), running essentially parallel to the said side-wall (3) and its front face (24).
2. A closet unit according to claim 1, wherein the said adjustable sliding block (23) is running on guide-rails (25) mounted inside the said closet unit (1), with slots (31) being provided for the tilting axis (7') and the stop (14) in the side-wall (3) of the closet unit (1), extending over the possible range of adjustment.
3. A closet unit according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the adjustable sliding block (23) is provided with recess (30), which together with an arresting element (33) on the closet unit (1) will permit controlled step-by-step adjustment of height.
4. A closet unit according to any one of claims 1-3, wherein the adjustable sliding block (23) cooperates with a spring (35) fastened to the closet unit (1), counterbalancing the force of gravity acting upon the adjustable sliding block (23) and the tilting lever (6).
