Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for the variable subdivision of drawers, in particular in cabinets made of sheet steel and plastic, by partition walls which can be inserted into slots provided on the walls of the drawer, the slots for inserting the partition walls being attached to holding elements and in the wall of the Drawer, or can be fastened to the partition and the holding elements consist essentially of a U-shaped main part with a slot and at least one pin attached to the side of the main part opposite the slot, and a device for variably dividing drawers, in particular in cupboards Sheet steel and plastic, through partition walls, which can be inserted into slots provided on the walls of the drawer, the slots for inserting the partition walls being attached to holding elements and attachable in the wall of the drawer or on the partition wall, and the holding elements from em u-shaped main part with a slot.
- the object of the invention is now to eliminate the disadvantages of the known devices. In particular, there should be a saving in costs for material, tools and labor in the manufacture. Furthermore, the invention has for its object that the division of Drawer must be possible in a simple and clear manner.
- the pin has at least one slot-shaped incision running essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pin, and in that the holding elements essentially consist of a cube, to each of which a slot is made in two adjacent side faces , wherein the slot for receiving the partition or the wall and the slot for attaching the holding elements to the drawer wall or on the partition are formed.
- the holes can be punched by NC-controlled punching machines in the same work step with the punching operations on the drawer that are necessary anyway.
- FIG. 1 shows a section of a drawer 1 of conventional construction with profiled sheet metal strips 5 and 6 with slot-shaped recesses 7 fastened to the side walls 2 and 3 by spot welds 4.
- a partition 8 which can be inserted with the end edge 9 in one of the slots 7 of the strip 5, profiled sheet metal strips 10 with slots 7 are welded on both sides in the same way as above.
- a profile bar 5, 6, 10 is available; with high drawers (over 150 mm) it may be necessary to attach two or more strips one above the other in order to offer the partition 8 sufficient support.
- In each bar 5, 6, 10 and the walls 2, 3, 8 there are also positioning bores 15 for positioning the bars 5, 6, 10 on the walls 2, 3, 8 during the welding process.
- FIGS. 2 to 8 which represent the invention, for example, the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1 are used for the base parts of the drawer.
- FIG. 2 two rows of openings or holes 11 and 12, which are in pairs one above the other, are punched out in the two side walls 2 and 3. At the same height and in an identical manner, 8 holes 13 are also provided on the partition. Between the front edge 9 of the partition 8 and the side wall 2 of the drawer 1 there is a holding element 14 shown. On the side facing the partition 8, the element 14 has a slot 16 corresponding to the thickness d of the partition 8, and on the opposite side two cylindrical pins 17 with which the holding element 14 can be attached to the wall 2.
- the length of the pin 17 is preferably greater than the thickness d of the partition 8, so that on the rear side of the partition 8, a holding element 18, which has bores 19 instead of pins 19 with the same center distance as the pins 17, can be attached (Fig. 3).
- a holding element 18, which has bores 19 instead of pins 19 with the same center distance as the pins 17, can be attached (Fig. 3).
- one or more pegs with a square cross section which engage in holes 11, 13 of analog shape in the walls 2, 3, 8, can of course also be provided (not shown).
- the holes 11, 12, 13 and markings 25 can be used in the same operation with other punching operations, for example for fastening pull-out mechanisms 26, grip strips 27 etc., which must be made on the drawer anyway.
- the holes 11, 12, 13 can be made in the injection mold during the manufacture of the drawer casing.
- the holding elements 14, 18 are preferably made of plastic by injection molding. For the highest demands in the workshop area, the plastic can also be reinforced with fibers.
- a drawer 1 is divided into compartments of different sizes.
- the holding elements 14 can be seen on the drawer walls 2, 3; on the intermediate walls 8 with continuous transverse walls 20, the holding elements 14 are coupled to the holding elements 18.
- the full use of space from wall to wall can also be clearly seen; A local reduction in cross-section takes place only directly at the crossing points of the walls.
- the legs of the holding elements 14, 18, which hold the walls 8, 20 laterally, are, however, only a few millimeters thick (in FIG. 4, the elements 14, 18 are shown very oversized for reasons of drawing).
- the procedure is as follows: holding elements 14 are inserted into the desired holes 11 in wall 2, as well as in wall 2 opposite, which can be easily found using markings 25.
- the partition walls 8 are then inserted into the slots 16 from above. If additional walls 20 are also to be attached transversely to the dividing walls 8, the procedure is analogous to that described above, with the exception that the holding elements 18 with bores 19 are plugged onto the pins 17 of the holding elements 14 protruding from the holes 13 of the wall 8 will.
- All parts of the drawer partition can be put together in a new combination at any time, without loading leave damage to the drawer.
- the ends of the pins 17 according to FIG. 5 have a bead-like thickening 30.
- This thickening can run like a mushroom's hat around the entire end of the cone; however, it can also consist of only two nose-like projections 31 (FIG. 6), which lie essentially perpendicular to a gap-shaped incision 32 in the pin 17.
- the width s of the incision 32 corresponds at least to the sum of the width of the overhangs of the lugs 31 or beads 30.
- the incision 32 can either be provided only in the region of the bead 30, 31, or it can extend as far as the shoulder of the pin 17 ( broken lines in Figure 5).
- the bore 18 of the corresponding holding element 14 can have an inwardly increasing cross section (FIG. 7) or an undercut (FIG. 8) in which the bead 30 or the projections 31 can find a support.
- the entire cross section of the pin 17 on the bead 30 is larger than the cross section of the bore 18 in the element 19 at its entrance.
- the gap width of the incision 32 decreases until the cross section on the bead 30 or the projections 31 can be inserted into the bore.
- the elasticity of the pin 17 it spreads inside the bore 18 and holds the element 14 in place, but only to such an extent that, if necessary, it can be pulled out again without damage.
- the holding element 14 is inserted directly into a hole 11, 13 in the wall 2, 3 or 8, 20, the bead 30 or the projections 31 spread on the rear of the wall 2, 3 or 8, 20 and hold the element 14 in it even if no corresponding element 18 is inserted.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for the variable subdivision of drawers, in particular in cabinets made of sheet steel and plastic, by partition walls which can be inserted into slots provided on the walls of the drawer, the slots for inserting the partition walls being attached to holding elements and in the wall of the Drawer, or can be fastened to the partition and the holding elements consist essentially of a U-shaped main part with a slot and at least one pin attached to the side of the main part opposite the slot, and a device for variably dividing drawers, in particular in cupboards Sheet steel and plastic, through partition walls, which can be inserted into slots provided on the walls of the drawer, the slots for inserting the partition walls being attached to holding elements and attachable in the wall of the drawer or on the partition wall, and the holding elements from em u-shaped main part with a slot.
Such devices are known and are generally used in the office and workshop area. Usually, deep-drawn profile strips, from which slot-shaped recesses are punched out at regular intervals, are screwed or attached to all four walls of the drawers welds. The production of the profile strips is very expensive due to the necessary deep-drawing and punching operations. In addition to these manufacturing costs, there are also the costs for exact fastening (screws, rivets or welding) on the walls of the drawer. These are not small because the slots of the profile strips fastened on opposite walls must be exactly aligned with one another so that the partitions to be pierced run parallel to the other walls. The exact alignment of the slots in the profile strips proves to be particularly difficult with large drawers, because two profile strips have to be attached in series for manufacturing reasons. The known profile strips in high drawers prove even more disadvantageous, where several profile strips have to be attached one above the other.
Statistically it has been proven that only 40% of all drawers are subdivided at all, in the remaining 60% the expensive profiles are completely useless.
There are also insertable holding elements in perforations on the drawers (for example from DE-GM 71 43 126 and DE-PSen 746 652 and 879 158. Holding elements of the known type, however, tend due to the large tolerances in the perforations on the drawers during the Installation of the partition walls to separate each from the perforations Furthermore, the known elements cannot be used to line up partition walls, but they have to be offset by a hole spacing.
The object of the invention is now to eliminate the disadvantages of the known devices. In particular, there should be a saving in costs for material, tools and labor in the manufacture. Furthermore, the invention has for its object that the division of Drawer must be possible in a simple and clear manner.
According to the invention, these objects are achieved in that the pin has at least one slot-shaped incision running essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pin, and in that the holding elements essentially consist of a cube, to each of which a slot is made in two adjacent side faces , wherein the slot for receiving the partition or the wall and the slot for attaching the holding elements to the drawer wall or on the partition are formed. Further advantageous embodiments are defined in the dependent claims.
The advantages of the invention compared to the known devices are, on the one hand, in the simplicity and consequently low manufacturing costs due to savings in material and labor costs. The usual rattling noises of the inserted sheet metal parts are completely eliminated by the use of plastic holding elements.
The holes can be punched by NC-controlled punching machines in the same work step with the punching operations on the drawer that are necessary anyway.

In FIG. 2, two rows of openings or
The length of the
To make it easier to find the
The
In Figure 4, a
When dividing
All parts of the drawer partition can be put together in a new combination at any time, without loading leave damage to the drawer.
By suitable dimensioning of the width of the
Wulste 30.
The
The entire cross section of the
When the
If the holding
Instead of a
