Die dabei vorhandene Abschirmung besteht aus einem im Stecker angeordneten umlaufenden Metallblech, welches neben der Funktion der elektrischen Abschirmung noch Schutzwirkung gegen mechanische Beschädigung der Kontakte hat sowie als Führungshilfe beim Zusammenstecken von Stecker und Buchse dient. Die so gestaltete Abschirmung stellt ein separat herzustellendes Teil dar, welches aufgrund der schwierigen Positionierung und Befestigung im Stecker die Herstellung der Steckverbindung kompliziert und verteuert. In extremen Benutzungsfällen besteht darüber hinaus die Gefahr, daß sich die metallische Abschirmung lockert und auf dem Kunststoffkörper des Steckers verschiebt, so daß die einwandfreie Einführung in die Buchse nicht mehr möglich ist. 10. A plug connection according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the contacts (6) are flat blade contacts provided with raised portions (19) extending in the plug direction.
11. A plug connection according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the plastics body (1) of the plug carrying the contacts is constructed in two pieces (half 3 and half 4) divided longitudinally.
12. A plug connection according to one of claims 1 to 11 characterised in that the plastics body (1) of the plug is first fitted with flat blade contacts (6) each of which has a protruding offset engagement lug (9) for pre-engagement with a corresponding window (10) of the plastics body (1) in each chamber (5).
13. A plug connection according to one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that the contacts, particularly flat blade contacts (6) have crimping flaps (12) turned out at 90° away from the level.
