Abstract

In this sitting bath for old, fragile or otherwise physically disabled people, one of the sidewalls of the bath can be opened and this openable sidewall (1<">) can be moved virtually completely out of the sidewall opening completely exposing the seat part (1'). In order to ensure that the person bathing only has to wait in the bath before or after bathing for a short time until it has been filled or emptied, there is provided below the bath (1) a collection trough (3) which accommodates the total volume of bath water and is connected to the bath by an oversized drainage pipe (14) and the preferably likewise oversized bathwater feedpipe (4) is connected to a storage container (2) which accommodates the total volume of bathwater.
