Abstract

1. Arrangement for automatic adjustment of the amount of evacuated air to the evaporative power of dryers operating with inlet air, circulating air and outlet air, under changing working conditions, in which a liquid is evaporated out of a material to be dried, adjusting the amount of evacuated air dependent on the difference between the temperature T1 of the circulating air when carried towards the material to be dried and the temperature T2 of the circulating air when carried off again.

Description

The invention relates to an arrangement for automatically adapting the amount of exhaust air to the evaporation capacity under changing operating conditions in dryers operated by means of fresh air, recirculated air and exhaust air, in which a liquid is evaporated from a material to be dried.

It is known that in such dryers with increased fresh air supply, a higher performance can be achieved. Because of the performance-independent costs for drying, such as debt service, labor costs, etc., on the one hand, any increase in performance with a dryer has a favorable effect on unit costs. On the other hand, the increased supply of fresh air leads to increased costs for heating this air. If the amount of fresh air is increased, these costs increase accordingly. The additional performance achieved is becoming less and less, so that at some point a further increase in the fresh air supply is no longer worthwhile.

There is a minimum unit cost, which is characterized by a certain ratio of fresh air to evaporated water, expressed in kg / kg or exhaust air humidity in% or as exhaust air dew point. To get the optimal exhaust air humidity even with changing drying performance, e.g. B. narrow - wide, light - heavy goods, exhaust air humidity control systems are known, but their general use in textile dryers has so far failed due to their high price and the fact that they are quickly removed by the fluff and oily mist contained in the exhaust air Time become unusable.

The object of the present invention is therefore to achieve an arrangement by means of which simple means, in particular without dirt-sensitive moisture sensors, make it possible to automatically adapt the amount of exhaust air to the evaporation capacity of a dryer under changing operating conditions.

An arrangement for regulating the amount of exhaust air in drying and fixing systems, in particular for broadly guided textile webs or the like, has already been proposed, in which temperature sensors for the air balance and steam content meters in the treatment room are arranged at the inlet and outlet slots for the web to the treatment room are connected to control devices for the exhaust air and / or the fresh air (DE-A-2 545 440). However, this arrangement has the disadvantage that the temperatures at the entry and exit of the web into and out of the dryer housing are used for the control. However, these temperatures represent undefined mixed values from temperatures in the vicinity of the dryer and somewhere in the dryer housing, and their differences cannot be used at all for defined control tasks. Otherwise, this arrangement, which also provides an additional steam content meter with control devices for the exhaust air and / or the fresh air, is very complex.

The invention is based on the following consideration. The following applies to the amount of heat transferred to the web:

Darin sind:

In it are:

Dann ist:

Figure imgb0003
worin VL
Figure imgb0004
Then:
Figure imgb0003
where V L
Figure imgb0004
is a constant during the drying process, which is partly dependent on the fan speed and partly on the temperature. If you measure the temperature difference AT L with two temperature sensors and set the gain on a transmitter so that the associated exhaust air volume V A max is conveyed at ΔT Lmax , you only have to ensure that the exhaust air volume is always proportional to AT L adjusted.

To achieve the object, an arrangement is therefore proposed in which the amount of exhaust air is set as a function of the difference between the temperature T 1 of the material to be dried and the temperature T 2 of the circulating air removed from the material. The difference between the temperature T 1 and the temperature T 2 can be done directly or via a control gear by means of a transmitter for adjusting the speed of the drive motors of exhaust air fans. It is also within the scope of the invention that instead of the speed adjustment, an adjustment of the guide vanes or a control nozzle on exhaust air fans or that an adjustment of a throttle device, for example a throttle valve, is used in the exhaust air line.

It has proven to be expedient to design the transmitter with adjustable gain. It is advantageous, but not limited, to adjust the rotational speed of the drive motors of the exhaust fans via the static frequency converters assigned to the motors and controlled by the measuring transducer.
