Definitions
- the invention relates to a system for air conditioning an individual workstation provided with a work table in a room, the system having a blow-out unit for supplying ambient air, outside air or conditioned air, which is arranged in the region of the work table, the table top of which has a coverable recess is provided and a method for operating this system.
- Air conditioning is generally understood to mean the supply of air, be it the supply of circulating air or outside air or be it the supply of conditioned air.
- Part of a room is understood as a place of work or a place to stay, which is air-conditioned regardless of the environmental conditions prevailing in the entire room. Since this individual workplace or location is usually provided with a table and a seat, it is known to provide this workplace or location with a fan placed on the tabletop in order to create a "microclimate" in the area of the workplace or location create that is different from the climate of the rest of the room.
- the invention also makes use of the microclimate solution and benefits from the large energy savings by restricting the climatic conditions to the area of the workplace, the disadvantages of the known embodiments are to be avoided and a system for air-conditioning an individual workplace as described at the beginning Be designed in such a way that no additional space is required and the usable area of the work table is not restricted.
- the blow-out unit is a prism-shaped hollow body, of which at least one peripheral side has a width that enables the blow-out unit to be inserted into the recess.
- the work table 1 shown in Fig. 1 has a table top 2 which is supported on two footrests 3.
- the footrests 3 are arranged on the side edges 4 of the table top 2 and leave a surface corresponding to the surface of the table top 2 free. They are plate-shaped and consist of a support frame 6 made of molded tubes 5, in the interior of which removable wall parts 7 are inserted, which form a cavity through which electrical and other lines, e.g. Air lines, can be accommodated.
- the table top 2 has on its rear edge 8 a channel-shaped recess 10, which is closed by covers 9 and is used to hold the devices required at the workplace.
- the devices are combined, for example, into units which expediently have the same length as the covers 9 and can be inserted into the recess 10 in their place. The number of such inserts and their arrangement can be chosen arbitrarily.
- the channel-shaped recess 10 is additionally used to receive a blow-out unit 11, with which the individual ventilation of the workplace in the area of the work table 1 or a microclimate different from the rest of the room is achieved.
- the blow-out unit 11 is used to blow out ambient or outside air or conditioned air which is guided through the footrests 3 to the recess 10 and from there into the blow-out unit 11. Since the blow-out unit 11 is inserted into the recess 10, which is also used for other purposes, and the air supply line is laid within the wall parts 7, this means that the installation of the blow-out unit 11 and the feed line for the subsequent air conditioning of a work station without converting the work table 1 and without attaching Extensions can be attached.
- the blow-out unit 11 is arranged in the recess 10 as in the work table 1 according to FIG. 1, the air supply into the recess 10 and into the blow-out unit 11 takes place via a flexible hose 13 which runs under the table top 2 and in one of the footrests 3 in the formed by the wall parts 7 opens out. If the table top 2 is adjustable in height and inclinable, These adjustment options are also retained when installing the air conditioning system, since the flexible hose 13 is able to follow the movements of the table top 2.
- the blow-out unit 11 is always arranged at the same location. However, this is by no means necessary and there is no difficulty in moving the blow-out unit to another location in the recess 10, e.g. in the middle. It is also possible to arrange more than one blow-out unit 11. In this case it is advisable to provide a second supply line with a flexible hose so that sufficient air can be brought in. If the space within the support frame 6 of the footrests 3 does not form a sufficient flow cross-section, a larger cross-section can be achieved in that the wall part 7 is not arranged flush with the shaped tubes 5 of the support frame 6, but protrudes beyond the tubes 5 until sufficient large flow cross-section arises within the support frame 6.
- the air conditioning system described can be installed without difficulty even when the work desk is equipped with two desk bases 12; the blow-out unit 11 is again arranged in the recess 10 and the hose 13 is also guided under the table top 2, but above the console base 12 to the footrest 3.
- FIG. 5 shows the connection of the air conditioning system for an individual work station to a central ventilation or air conditioning system.
- a duct system 15 Through which fresh air or conditioned air is fed to the blow-out units 11 of each work station and the exhaust air is discharged through exhaust air openings 16.
- the fresh air or conditioned air passes through Line connections through the floor 14 into the channel formed in the footrests 3 and via the hoses 13 into the recess 10 and into the blow-out units 11.
- FIG. 6 an automatic ventilation for each workplace is shown.
- the air in the vicinity of the floor 14 is sucked in through a grille 18 and passed through the duct arranged in the footrests 3 and through the flexible hose 13 into the blow-out unit 11.
- a fan 19 with a housing is arranged under the blow-out unit 11 and has the same base area as the blow-out unit 11. In this case too, the arrangement of the air conditioning system on an existing work table 1 does not require any modifications or additions.
- a feed line 20 is led from the open to the footrests of the work table 1. Fresh air is thus drawn in by the fan 19 arranged in the recess 10 below the blow-out unit 11 and used to form a microclimate at this work station.
- the blow-out unit 11 is shown schematically and on an enlarged scale. It forms a prismatic hollow body with two longitudinal walls 21, two side walls 22 and a cover plate 23.
- the cover plate 23 has openings 24 for the air to escape.
- the orifices 24 can be designed in various ways, for example as adjustable ball nozzles, as a grid, as a blow-out turbulator or the like.
- the width of the blow-out nozzle 11 is expediently adapted to the width of the recess 10.
- the fan 19 can be arranged in a housing that is full can be used to fit into the recess 10. An opening is provided in the bottom of the recess 10, at which the flexible hose 13 opens. If the suction of the circulating air in the vicinity of the base 14 is dispensed with in the embodiment according to FIG. 6, the hose 13 can be omitted and the fan 19 draws in directly through the opening in the base of the recess 10.
- the prism shape of the blow-out unit 11 can be varied in different ways.
- the blow-out unit 11 can protrude over the surface of the table top 2, as in FIGS. 1 to 4, but it can also be flush with the same. 7, the cover plate 23 is inclined with respect to the surface of the table top 2, but the cover plate 23 can also run parallel to it.
- the blow-out unit 11 allows such individual adjustments without difficulty.
- the air conditioning system described has a maximum of adaptation options. In its simplest version, it can be designed as independent circulating air ventilation, see FIG. 6, left side, or as independent ventilation with fresh air, see FIG. 6, right side. However, connection to a central ventilation or cooling system can also be carried out in the same simple way. In all applications, workbenches can be provided with an air conditioning system without conversion or add-on parts, with which a microclimate can be created in the area of a workplace, regardless of the climate in the rest of the room.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a system for air conditioning an individual workstation provided with a work table in a room, the system having a blow-out unit for supplying ambient air, outside air or conditioned air, which is arranged in the region of the work table, the table top of which has a coverable recess is provided and a method for operating this system.
Systems and devices for air conditioning a certain part, for example a workplace or another location, are known in various designs. Air conditioning is generally understood to mean the supply of air, be it the supply of circulating air or outside air or be it the supply of conditioned air. Part of a room is understood as a place of work or a place to stay, which is air-conditioned regardless of the environmental conditions prevailing in the entire room. Since this individual workplace or location is usually provided with a table and a seat, it is known to provide this workplace or location with a fan placed on the tabletop in order to create a "microclimate" in the area of the workplace or location create that is different from the climate of the rest of the room. Since this known embodiment does not meet all comfort requirements, it is known to equip the individual workplace with an air conditioning unit which is arranged on the back of the table, which is usually designed as a work table. Although work tables that have already been delivered can be retrofitted with an air conditioning unit without making any significant changes to the work tables themselves, the disadvantage is that additional space is required, which results in a tighter furnishing arrangement or even loss of jobs, e.g. in open-plan offices may have.
Although the invention also makes use of the microclimate solution and benefits from the large energy savings by restricting the climatic conditions to the area of the workplace, the disadvantages of the known embodiments are to be avoided and a system for air-conditioning an individual workplace as described at the beginning Be designed in such a way that no additional space is required and the usable area of the work table is not restricted.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the blow-out unit is a prism-shaped hollow body, of which at least one peripheral side has a width that enables the blow-out unit to be inserted into the recess.

The work table 1 shown in Fig. 1 has a
The
The channel-
As shown in FIG. 4, the air conditioning system described can be installed without difficulty even when the work desk is equipped with two
Under a
In Fig. 6 an automatic ventilation for each workplace is shown. In the workplace shown on the left in FIG. 6, the air in the vicinity of the
At the workplace on the right in FIG. 6, a
The prism shape of the blow-out
The air conditioning system described has a maximum of adaptation options.
