Abstract

1. Coin-operated dispenser capable of receiving coins of different values, comprising a housing (2) intended to contain the objects to be sold (3), a money sorting device (9) which sorts the coins according to their value, extraction means (6) locked by a locking device (79 ; 81 ; 153) which can be unlocked by unlocking means actuated by the introduction of a prescribed amount of money in the form of coins, characterized in that the locking device comprises essentially a lever bolt (79 ; 81 ; 153) and in that the unlocking means comprise a means (46 to 49) for deflecting the coins according to their value, a means for counting the money untis, consisting essentially of a set of balls (44) stored in a first oblique channel (25 ; 138) and of a set of lever blocks (31 to 34) retaining the balls inside this first channel and connected in cascade fashion one behind the other and provided with a lever (39 to 42) situated in each case in the deflected trajectory of a coin type, in such a way that, when a coin falls onto one of the levers, the lever block integral with this lever is actuated, together with all the preceding lever blocks located downstream, and at least one ball is released, a second inclined channel (28 ; 142 ; 166) being provided so as to receive the released balls, this second channel comprising a movable stop (50 ; 144 ; 167) which can be adjusted in accordance with the prescribed amount and against which the balls (44) accumulate, as well as a lateral hole (61 ; 146) opposite which there is a lug (62 ; 164) capable of penetrating inside this hole, this lug co-operating with the end of a lever (64 ; 157) pivoted at a middle point about a pin (68 ; 158) capable of moving against an elastic force, the other end of this lever (64 ; 157) co-operating kinematically with the extraction means (6), the said lever (64 ; 157) carrying moreover a member (77 ; 165) enabling it to operate the lever bolt (79 ; 153), all of which in such a way that, when the said lug (62 ; 164) does not encounter a ball, the lever (64 ; 157) pivots about its middle point (68 ; 158), which remains in a fixed position, pushing back the lug (62 ; 164), whereas, when the lug encounters a ball, the lever (64 ; 157) pivots on this lug, thereby bringing its middle pivoting pin into a position where the lever bolt (79 ; 153) occupies a position releasing the extraction means (6, 15).
