Es ist zumindest dafür zu sorgen, daß die Banderole sich nicht im Bereich der zur Wölbung vorgesehenen Elemente befindet. Der Bediener der Sortiermaschine hat aufgrund dessen entsprechende Vorarbeit zu leisten. Ein kritischer Verfahrensschritt der beschriebenen Entbanderolierungs-Vorrichtung ist in der Freilegung eines Banderolenabschnitts durch die Bündelwölbung zu sehen. Dieser Vorgang ist schon dann problematisch, wenn beispielsweise aufgrund elektrostatischer Aufladungen die Banderole am Blattbündel haftet. Ebenso kritisch erscheint bei dem vorgeschlagenen Verfahren der einseitige Abzug der geschlossenen Banderole vom Bündel zu sein. Das Greifelement 40 ist nochmals in den Fig. 5 und 6 detailliert dargestellt. Es besteht aus einem an der Führungsstange 18 befestigten Haken 13, der an seinem freien Ende 13a eine keilförmige Spitze aufweist. Die Spitze des Hakens soll einerseits problemlos in das Päckchen entlang einer Stoßkante eindringen, andererseits aber in einem möglichst stumpfen Winkel auslaufen, damit die Spitze des Hakens im Päckchen mit dort gegebenenfalls vorhandenen Knickstellen einzelner Belege nicht in Berührung kommt. Wie die Fig. 6 zeigt, erzeugt die in einem stumpfen Winkel auslaufende Spitze des Hakens 13 im Päckchen 1 eine vergleichsweise lange, keilförmige Öffnung, wodurch Berührungen der Spitze mit einzelnen Belegen vermieden werden. Gegenüber dem freien Ende 13a des Hakens ist eine Klemmplatte 14 mit Stiften 16 in dem Greifelement 40 beweglich gelagert. Gegen die Kraft zweier Federn 17 kann die Klemmplatte 14 von einem Elektromagneten 19 angezogen werden. In der in Fig. 5 gezeigten Darstellung ist die Klemmplatte 14, angezogen durch den Elektromagneten, vom Haken 13 entfernt angeordnet, so daß sich zwischen dem Haken und der Klemmplatte ein Spalt ergibt, in den die Banderole 2 einläuft, während der Haken zwischen zwei Belegen entlang der Stoßkante durch das Päckchen gleitet. Wird die Erregung des Magneten 19 abgeschaltet, drückt die Klemmplatte 14 aufgrund der Federkraft gegen den Haken 13 und fixiert dabei die zwischen der Klemmplatte und dem Haken befindliche Banderole. Der Einlauf der Banderole in den Haken wird mit einer Reflexionslichtschranke 15 ermittelt. Die Lichtschranke ist derart auf der Klemmplatte 14 montiert, daß deren Licht von der metallisch glänzenden Oberfläche 20 des Hakens 13 gut reflektiert wird (siehe Fig. 6). Die in den Haken eingelaufene Banderole überdeckt die Oberfläche 20 und reduziert damit die reflektierte Lichtmenge.The second element of the debandering shown in the figures is the pulling device 12. Wie die Fig. 7a zeigt, wird das Messer zwischen zwei Federn 25 auf der Achse 8 mit Hilfe von Klemmringen 27 so gehalten, daß es axial angreifenden Kräften, vor allem im Bereich der Schneide 7a, abhängig von der Federkraft nachgibt. Das Messer kann durch entsprechende Auswahl der Federn schwimmend gelagert werden, so daß es im Päckchen gegebenenfalls vorhandenen Falten oder ähnlichen Unebenheiten ausweicht. Beschädigungen einzelner Belege werden vermieden. Claims (15)

1. An apparatus for removing a band (2) from a bundle of sheets (1) formed of substantially flat sheets, comprising a transport means (3a, 3b, 4a, 4b) which transports the bundle of sheets (1) to a debanding unit in which the band is severed by a cutting element (7) of a cutting means (11) and then removed from the bundle by means of a removing means (12), characterized in that the cutting element (7) is disposed parallel to the plane of the sheets of the bundle of sheets being transported, and in that the cutting element (7), dipping into the abutting edge of the bundle which extends in the direction of transport, cuts along the entire length of the bundle, thereby severing the band in its portion (2) extending transversely across this abutting edge.
2. The apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the cutting element (7) is a rotary blade whose direction of rotation is opposite to the relative movement between the cutting means (11) and the bundle (1).

12. The apparatus according to claim 11, characterized by a light barrier (15) as the sensor between the free end of the hook which dips into the bundle and a transceiver element disposed outside the bundle.
13. The apparatus according to claim 6, characterized in that the removing means is disposed after the cutting means, relative to the direction of transport of the bundle.
14. The apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the bundle transporting system has rollers (4a, 4b) located opposite each other transversely to the direction of transport which are resiliently mounted perpendicular to the direction of transport.
15.
