Definitions
- the invention relates to an interior for protective helmets, consisting of several, forming a spider webbing, the ends of which are connected to tab-shaped, to be fixed to the helmet shell, made of plastic plug fasteners, which are attached to a plastic head support ring.
- each plug closure consists of a separate tab, which is detachably connected at one end to a web of the head support ring and at the other end merges into a plug-in foot with a thickened cross section.
- These plug-in feet are inserted into the corresponding pockets of the helmet shell from below and form the power transmission from the helmet shell to the spider.
- Knobs are provided on the opposite end edges of the plug-in foot, which grip through corresponding punched-outs in the end of the belt strap, which partially wraps around the plug-in foot which is U-shaped in cross section.
- the plug closures are made of a relatively hard plastic, while the head strap is made of a soft plastic so that it can easily nestle against the head of the helmet wearer.
- the invention has for its object to improve the interior described above in terms of their manufacture and their mode of operation.
- plug-in closures are articulated via a folding hinge on the head support ring and are formed with this as a one-piece plastic part.
- All plug closures thus form a one-piece plastic part together with the head support ring, which can thus be produced in a single injection molding process.
- This requires a planar design of the plastic part, so that a hinged hinge is provided for each plug closure in order to be able to fold the plug closure against the head support ring during assembly of the interior.
- closure plug attached to a web of the K opftragbandes bears against this web, and is fixed with it over locking elements in a particular installation position.
- the plug-in fastener In order to be able to change the position of the head support ring relative to the helmet shell, it is advantageous if at least two locking positions are provided between the plug-in fastener and the web in the longitudinal direction of the corresponding webbing. If the length of the belt straps remains the same, the effective length of the belt straps can be shortened or lengthened relative to the head support ring by said adjustment of the plug fasteners.
- the locking elements mentioned can e.g. be pins engaging in recesses, two pins being provided for each latching position, for example, which can be pressed like push buttons into corresponding recesses in the other part.
- the folding hinge can be formed by a transverse cross-sectional weakening that can already be generated during the injection molding process.
- two cross-sectional weakenings arranged parallel to one another and forming a double folding hinge can be provided. This arrangement enables the required relative displacement between the folded plug closure and the web of the head strap.
- the folding hinge or the like can also be arranged by spaced longitudinal bars, webs, connections or the like. be formed, which allow the said relative displacement.
- the fastening means for fixing a strap end to a plug-in fastener have at least two knobs, which, however, according to the invention sit on the flat side of a plug-in foot facing the head support ring and grip through corresponding punched-out holes in the strap end.
- the fastening means can furthermore either have at least one further knob which sits on the exposed end edge of the plug-in foot and which engages through a punched-out end of the belt strap once completely wrapped around the plug-in foot.
- the fastening means mentioned also have a retaining bar, which then clamps the strap end, which is then completely looped around the plug-in foot, onto the two knobs.
- This retaining bar can also be formed in one piece with the plug closure in a simple manner.
- the fastening and the subsequent complete looping of the strap end result in the strap end being clamped in the pocket of the helmet shell and being drawn into this pocket under load. It is impossible to push the plug foot out of its pocket.
- the pocket integrally formed on the helmet shell has a thickness which corresponds exactly to the thickness of the plug-in foot with the strap end wrapped around.
- adapted insertion grooves are molded into the pocket, so that a particularly tight fit is ensured.
- the flat support ring 1 shown in FIG. 1 has four webs 2, to each of which a plug closure 4 is articulated via a folding hinge 3.
- Web 2 folding hinge 3 and plug closure 4 are shown in Figures 2 and 3 on an enlarged scale.
- the folding hinge 3 consists of two cross sections arranged parallel to one another at a distance weakenings 3a, which together form a double folding hinge.
- the plug closure 4 has two recesses 5 in the form of locking holes, to which two pairs of pins 6 sitting on the web 2 are assigned. As a result, the plug closure 4 can be folded around the cross-sectional weakenings 3a against the web 2 and fixed thereon by pressing the recesses 5 onto one of the pairs of pins 6 in two different positions.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an interior for protective helmets, consisting of several, forming a spider webbing, the ends of which are connected to tab-shaped, to be fixed to the helmet shell, made of plastic plug fasteners, which are attached to a plastic head support ring.
In such a known interior, each plug closure consists of a separate tab, which is detachably connected at one end to a web of the head support ring and at the other end merges into a plug-in foot with a thickened cross section. These plug-in feet are inserted into the corresponding pockets of the helmet shell from below and form the power transmission from the helmet shell to the spider. Knobs are provided on the opposite end edges of the plug-in foot, which grip through corresponding punched-outs in the end of the belt strap, which partially wraps around the plug-in foot which is U-shaped in cross section.
In these known interior fittings, the plug closures are made of a relatively hard plastic, while the head strap is made of a soft plastic so that it can easily nestle against the head of the helmet wearer.
The production of these generally customary and widespread interior fittings is relatively complex, since the head support ring and the plug closures, of which four are usually provided, have to be produced individually, that is to say in separate spraying operations. The assembly of these parts is also complex since the plug-in closures are individually connected to the head support ring and generally have to be linked.
Another disadvantage is the fastening of the belt ends to the plug feet of the plug fasteners. At high loads, the tensile force exerted on the webbing causes the plug-in foot to spread, which can be pressed out of its pocket in the helmet shell. This results from the arrangement of the knobs transmitting the tensile force on the end edge of the plug-in foot lying in the pocket.
The invention has for its object to improve the interior described above in terms of their manufacture and their mode of operation.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the plug-in closures are articulated via a folding hinge on the head support ring and are formed with this as a one-piece plastic part.
All plug closures thus form a one-piece plastic part together with the head support ring, which can thus be produced in a single injection molding process. This requires a planar design of the plastic part, so that a hinged hinge is provided for each plug closure in order to be able to fold the plug closure against the head support ring during assembly of the interior.
It is advantageous if the closure plug attached to a web of the K opftragbandes, bears against this web, and is fixed with it over locking elements in a particular installation position.
In order to be able to change the position of the head support ring relative to the helmet shell, it is advantageous if at least two locking positions are provided between the plug-in fastener and the web in the longitudinal direction of the corresponding webbing. If the length of the belt straps remains the same, the effective length of the belt straps can be shortened or lengthened relative to the head support ring by said adjustment of the plug fasteners.
The locking elements mentioned can e.g. be pins engaging in recesses, two pins being provided for each latching position, for example, which can be pressed like push buttons into corresponding recesses in the other part.
The folding hinge can be formed by a transverse cross-sectional weakening that can already be generated during the injection molding process. In order to enable the above-described locking of the plug-in closure in two different positions with respect to the respectively assigned web of the head support ring, two cross-sectional weakenings arranged parallel to one another and forming a double folding hinge can be provided. This arrangement enables the required relative displacement between the folded plug closure and the web of the head strap. The folding hinge or the like can also be arranged by spaced longitudinal bars, webs, connections or the like. be formed, which allow the said relative displacement.
The fastening means for fixing a strap end to a plug-in fastener have at least two knobs, which, however, according to the invention sit on the flat side of a plug-in foot facing the head support ring and grip through corresponding punched-out holes in the strap end. The fastening means can furthermore either have at least one further knob which sits on the exposed end edge of the plug-in foot and which engages through a punched-out end of the belt strap once completely wrapped around the plug-in foot. Or else the fastening means mentioned also have a retaining bar, which then clamps the strap end, which is then completely looped around the plug-in foot, onto the two knobs. This retaining bar can also be formed in one piece with the plug closure in a simple manner. In both alternative solutions, the fastening and the subsequent complete looping of the strap end result in the strap end being clamped in the pocket of the helmet shell and being drawn into this pocket under load. It is impossible to push the plug foot out of its pocket.
In order to further improve the plug-in position of the plug-in foot in its pocket, it is expedient if the pocket integrally formed on the helmet shell has a thickness which corresponds exactly to the thickness of the plug-in foot with the strap end wrapped around. For the knobs provided on the flat side of the plug-in foot, adapted insertion grooves are molded into the pocket, so that a particularly tight fit is ensured.
