Autrement dit, la polarité de ces zones aimantées successives est alternativement nord et sud, les pôles nord et sud étant désignés, sur la figure 3, respectivement par les lettres N et S. Dans ces conditions, une partie des particules de pigment se trouvant dans le réservoir 6 (figure 1) est attirée par la bande 21b. Il faut cependant signaler que le mode d'aimantation de la bande 21 b qui vient d'être décrit n'est pas exclusif de l'invention et l'on pourrait utiliser tout autre mode de magnétisation permettant à la bande 21b d'attirer les particules de pigment. On peut réaliser de la même façon l'autre organe 28 de transport et l'élément 14 de transport.In Figure 3, there is shown schematically a particular embodiment of the transport member 21. Sur la figure 1, on voit également le couvercle coulissant 34 du réservoir 6, ce couvercle étant arrêté par une butée 35 pour ne pas endom- manger le tambour 2. On voit également, de façon schématique, une partie des pignons permettant la rotation des moyens 8 de retouche (pignon 8a), de l'élément 14 de transport (pignon 14a), de l'organe 21 de transport (pignon 21a) et du moyen 27 de battage (pignon 27c). On n'a pas représenté le pignon permettant la rotation de l'autre organe 28 de transport, ni celui qui permet la rotation de l'autre moyen 31 de battage. On a également représenté quelques uns des pignons intermédiaires 36 nécessaires pour obtenir des sens de rotation convenables ainsi que le pignon moteur 37 entraîné par un moteur non représenté et permettant l'entraînement de tous les autres pignons. Cet ensemble de pignons est réalisable par l'homme de l'art et disposé à l'extérieur du réservoir 6, par exemple de l'autre côté de la face externe 16 sur la figure 1.In FIG. 1, the sliding cover 34 of the reservoir 6 is also seen, this cover being stopped by a stop 35 so as not to damage the drum 2. Claims (5)

1. A device for the application on to the record carrier (2) of a non-impact printer, of solid particles of a pulverulent pigment contained in a reservoir (6) situated below this carrier, said device comprising a transport element (14) arranged to deliver these particles close to the surface of said carrier (2) and a deflector (15) interpositioned between this carrier (2) and the transport element (14) for collection of the particles transported by this element, said deflector (15) having one of its edges (19) positioned in the immediate proximity of the said carrier so as to form with this carrier a trough (20) of substantially prismatic shape, wherein are accumulated the particles thus collected, said carrier (2) being displaced in the direction (F,) such that it entrains these particles towards the edge of the said prism, the particles entrained beyond this edge remaining applied only to the sensitised areas (4) of the said record carrier (2), the said applicator device being characterised in that it also comprises a transport member (21) of cylindrical form, situated below the transport element (14) and so arranged that by rotation around its axis (A3) it delivers particles close to said transport element (14), as well as another deflector (22) interposed between said transport member (21) and said transport element (14) in such a manner as to have available a reserve of particles when the level of the particles in the container (6) drops lower than the upper level of the transport member (21).
2. Applicator device according to claim 1, characterised in that it also comprises a means (27) for stirring the particles within the container (6).
3. Applicator device according to either of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that it also comprises at least one other transport member (28) of cylindrical shape, arranged so that by rotation around its axis (A5) it feeds particles to the said transport member (21) via a deflector (29) interpositioned between the said member (21) and the said other transport member (28), in such a manner as to have a reserve of particles available in the container (6) itself.
4. Applicator device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the said other deflector (22) extends over a length of the order of one centimeter, between the said transport element (14) and the said transport member (21) and between itself and the transport member (21) leaves a gap equal to at most one millimeter and between itself and the said transport element (14), a gap of the order of 5 mms.
5. Applicator device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the solid particles being able to be attracted by a magnet, the said transport member (21) and the said transport element (14) are magnetic at the surface.
