Abstract

A ski guard is formed of an elastically tiltable stirrup made of a plastics material with a holding member formed as a part of the stirrup. The holding member maintains the stirrup member in the upright position on a ski by securing its support surface in contact with the upper surface of a base member which attached the stirrup to a ski. When the stirrup tilts or pivots, the support surface on the holding member moves over a boundary surface on the base member overcoming a dead-center position. Movement beyond the dead-center position takes place because of the deflection of a part of the holding member spaced from the support member. Axle journals in spaced axial alignment pivotally mount the stirrup on the base member and permit the location of a large locking element between them for detachably fastening the base member on a fastening plate.

Description

The invention relates to a resiliently foldable ski deflector with at least one bearing axle mounted in a base body to be fastened to the ski and extending transversely to the ski.

From DE-A-26 45 109 a ski deflector of this type is known, which is shown in the form of a triangular bracket made of spring wire and is supported in a plate-shaped base body by bent-over bracket ends. The bracket is held in an upright position of use in that the two mutually directed bracket ends forming the bearing axes are spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of the ski. When putting the ski deflector on, i.e. his bracket creates an elastic deformation in him, through which he strives to return to his position of use. The fact that the two bearing axles are offset from one another in the longitudinal direction of the ski means that the bracket is inclined and its necessarily relatively long bearing axles require a space for their storage in the base body, which allows the arrangement of a releasable connecting device, for example a twist lock, with one on the ski surface e.g. hindered by permanent fastening plate to be fastened. 1 to 5 of DE-A-26 22 089 a ski deflector of the type mentioned is also known, the bearing axles offset in the longitudinal direction of the ski are angled at their ends and are held with these ends on the base body.

A partial flipping over of the ski deflector is too great for a complete flipping over of the ski deflector, contrary to the elastic torsional stress. This ski deflector also limits the design options of its base body due to the space requirements of the torsion and bearing axles.

Durch die DE-A- 25 10 315 ist ein beim Skifahren federnd um eine quer zum Ski gerichtete Achse schwenkbarer Drahtbügel bekannt, der zwar die erwähnten Nachteile der beiden zuvorgenannten Skiabweiser hinsichtlich des Raumbedarfs für die Lagerung seiner Achsen nicht aufweist, jedoch ist sein Schwenkbereich beschränkt und er federt nicht in die Gebrauchslage zurück, wenn er sich über einen begrenzten Winkelbereich hinaus geschwenkt hat.DE-A-25 10 315 discloses a wire bracket which can be swiveled in a manner resiliently about an axis directed transversely to the ski and which does not have the mentioned disadvantages of the two aforementioned ski deflectors with regard to the space requirement for the storage of its axles, but its swivel range is limited and it does not spring back into the use position if it has pivoted beyond a limited angular range.

The present invention is based on the object of finding a ski deflector of the type mentioned at the outset which avoids the disadvantages of the known ski deflectors by not requiring axes offset in the longitudinal direction of the ski and nevertheless having a large swivel range with high stability in its position of use.

This object is achieved on the basis of the features of the characterizing part of patent claim 1. The dependent claims relate to advantageous configurations of the ski deflector. The ski deflector according to the invention is also particularly advantageously suitable for production from plastic, since its pivotable part, including its axes, can be shaped relatively flat in one plane. So far it has been considered unavoidable for ski deflectors, the resilient foldability of which arises due to their material elasticity or their stirrup, also because of their shape, to form them from spring steel wire. The formation of resilient plastic such as Made of polycarbonate in accordance with an essential embodiment of the invention not only leads to advantages in terms of production by avoiding the wire bending technique, but also to an advantageous design option both in terms of practicality and aesthetics.

In addition, the steel edges of the ski that come into contact with the ski deflector are protected. The design of the ski deflector according to the invention also enables most types of plastic to be used without excessive stress on the material.

The most essential part of the ski deflector is its pivotable part 2, e.g. B. According to the representation in Fig. 1. This part could also be used without a base body 4 if it can be accepted that corresponding recesses or bearing holes are provided laterally in the ski for its storage directly on the ski.

In particular, FIG. 1 but also FIG. 2 show the novelty of the design of a ski deflector designed as a foldable bracket, which is known from previously known wire bending technology from spring steel wire could not be made. The inner stirrup leg 6 facing the other ski and serving as a stop body to avoid crossing the skis runs relatively steeply upwards and passes at an angle into an upper transverse part 8, to which the outer leg 10 adjoins in an arc shape via a further angling. At their lower ends, both folding legs 6, 6, 10 pass almost at right angles and with a sharp outer edge 11, 12 into a journal 14, 15, so that an almost seamless transition to the narrow lateral outer surfaces of the ski is possible as an extension of the outer surface of the stirrup legs is. The axle journals 14, 15 end in an enlarged annular collar 16, 17 which serves to secure them in the base body 4 in the axial direction. For this purpose, the bearing recesses 18, 20 of the base body have correspondingly shaped circumferential grooves 21, 22 which rotatably support the respective collar and hold them axially.

Seitliche Ausschnitte 27, 28 der Öffnung 26 ermöglichen das Hindurchführen des Kopfes 25.In order to nevertheless be able to insert the axle journals 14, 15 into the bearing recesses, they have a U-shaped cross section which is open at the bottom and which is closed after the base body 4 has been fastened on a fastening plate 23 which is intended to be glued to the surface of a ski . The connection between the fastening plate 23 and the base body 4 takes place by means of a bolt 24 with a flat head 25 which is rigidly provided on the fastening plate and is non-circular in cross section. The bolt 24 engages in the central opening 26 of the base body. Lateral cutouts 27, 28 of the opening 26 enable the head 25 to be passed through.

After relative rotation between the fastening plate 23 or its bolt 24 and the base body, the underside of the bolt head 25 slides upwards over the ramp surfaces 30, 31 adjacent to the cutouts, over the edge 32 of the opening 26, so that the base body is pressed onto the fastening plate 23. In the end position of the relative rotation, edges 33 projecting downward from the base body engage over the boundary edge 34 of the fastening plate 23.

At a distance from the pivot axis of the bracket 2 or its axle pins 14, 15 in the direction perpendicular to this axis, a holding part 35 is formed on the bracket part, which extends in the direction of the base body 4 or to the axle pins 14, 15 mounted therein . In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the shaping point 36 is located on the inside of the transition region between the cross bar part 8 and the outside leg 10. The shape of the holding part 35 is adapted to that of the bar 2 by the holding part extending along the bar 2. In the example shown, it runs parallel to the cross bar part and then along the inside leg 6 downwards.

This angular course of the holding part 35 has the advantage that its support part 38 provided at its free end can be pretensionedly supported on a support surface 40 of the base part, so that the bracket 2 is held correspondingly stiff in the upright position of use. The prestressing essentially results from a slight bending of the shorter leg 42 of the holding part 35.

On the base body 4, a second support surface 40 'is provided above the bearing recess 20 on the sides opposite in the axial direction, so that the bracket 2 can be retained in the base body 4 in two positions offset by 180 ° to one another. This has the advantage that a stirrup version can be used for both a left (FIG. 1) and a right ski by simply being mounted on the base body in reverse. As can be seen from the illustration in FIGS. 6 and 7, the surface 40 and correspondingly also the surface 40 'have a slight inclination, so that the bracket 2 assumes a corresponding inclination against the direction of travel of the ski, since the support surface 44 of the support part 38 of the holding part extends perpendicular to the long leg 43 in the example shown.

If a force of a certain size acts on the bracket 2 in a longitudinal direction of the ski, the holding part tilts over a boundary edge 46 or 47 of its support part 38 while overcoming a dead center position. The shorter leg 42 of the holding part bends slightly upwards, since the distance between the forming point 36 of the holding part, around which the holding part can bend, to the resulting supporting points of the boundary edges 46 and 47 on the supporting surface 40 of the base body is larger than the middle area of the eg flat support surface 44 of the support part 38.

In order to ensure that the holding part 35 or its longer leg 43 tilts laterally after tilting over a boundary edge 46 or 47, i.e. can bend relative to the bracket 2 in the longitudinal direction of the ski, the support surface 40 is arranged in a slight depression of the base body and thereby delimited by two elevations 50, 51 lying opposite one another in the longitudinal direction of the ski. During the tilting movement, a side surface 52, 53 of the support part 38 of the holding part 35 is supported on an elevation 50, 51, so that the boundary edge 46 or 47 can slide over the surface 40 in the direction of the opposite elevation 51, 50. The spring force resulting from this elastic deflection tends to pivot the bracket 2 back into its upright position of use. Around the bracket 2 e.g. To be able to hold in a position pivoted completely onto the ski surface for transport purposes, for this extreme pivot position there is a second support surface 54 running approximately at right angles to the support surface 40, on which the support surface 44 of the holding part 35 can be supported.

ZumHowever, this second support surface 54 is also offset in the direction of the pivot axis of the bracket 2 on the base body 4, as can be seen in the illustration in FIG. 3, so that the support part 38 of the holding part 35 only after being bent out by hand in the plane of the bracket from Bow leg 5 away and then pivoting the bracket to come to rest on this second support surface. During this extension movement, the support part 38 of the holding part slides over an inward extension 55 of the support surface 40

An oppositely directed deflection is prevented at the edge of the base body by an edge 56 protruding upwards.

The width of the support part 38 or the distance between its two boundary edges 46, 47 determines the size of the deflection of the holding part 35 from the plane of the bracket 2, or the size of the scissor-like relative movement between the bracket leg 6 and the leg 34 of the holding part for a certain angular size of the pivoting movement of the bracket 2 and thus also the spring characteristic of the ski deflector with given dimensions and material properties.

When the bracket is folded over, not only is there a bend on the holding part but also differently directed elastic deformation movements such as torsion and compression. As mentioned, when the dead center position is overcome, the holding part deflects upwards, i.e. away from the pivot axis, which is received in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 by the deflection of the shorter leg 42 of the holding part.

The following exemplary embodiments show other possibilities of providing sufficient elasticity in the holding part in order to be able to overcome the dead center position.

According to FIG. 9, the holding part 61 has the shape of an arc, which can bend in the longitudinal direction in the manner of an arc when a force occurs. The support part 62 of the ski deflector has two fork legs 63, 64, which contribute to the elasticity in the direction of the ski when the bracket 65 is folded over.

To accommodate this pivot axis 67, the base body 70 has a downwardly open recess 72 in cross section U-shaped. The holding part 61 holds the bracket 65 in this recess. The base body 70 is, for example, attached to the surface of the ski 74 by means of an adhesive film 73 and provided with grooves 75, so that the base body can follow the bending movements of the ski without being detached.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 11 and 12, the movement required to overcome the dead center position is made possible by bending a bridge-shaped holding part 78 which is formed on both sides of the bracket 77 and which is supported on the upper side of the base body 82 with its support part 80 formed on its central region.

The holding part 84, 84 'of the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 13 runs parallel to the pivot axis of the bracket 86 or its axle journal 87, 88 and ends freely with its supporting part 90, 90', which rests on the top of the base body (not shown). The base body can be designed similar to that of FIG. 10 or 12.

Sein Abstützteil 95 kann z.B. entsprechend den Darstellungen der Fig. 14 oder 15 ausgeführt sein.FIG. 16 shows an embodiment similar to that of FIG. 13, with the difference that the holding part 92 is formed on an axle part 94 by means of an offset 93 instead of on a bending element. Its support part 95 can e.g. 14 or 15 to be executed according to the representations.

When the bracket 86 or 86 'is folded around its axis defined by the axle journals 87, 88 or 87', 94, the support part 90, 90 'or 95 is supported with one of its outer edges on the upper side of the base body and the holding part 84, 84' or 92 first bends upwards and then laterally, with the aim of straightening the bracket again.
