Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Erzeugung von lager- und insbesondere straßen-, gleis- und seetransportsicherer Kohle oder Kohlemischungen kleiner Körnung, vorzugsweise Kohlenstaub. - Als Kohle oder Kohlemischung kleiner Körnung soll hierbei und nachstehend Kohle oder Mischungen in einer Körnung bis 3 mm verstanden werden; als Staub Kohle einer Korngröße bis 0,1 mm (100 µ ). Es hat auch nicht an Versuchen gefehlt, die Lager- und Transportfähigkeit und -sicherheit von Kohle und Kohlemischungen ohne ein Schutzgas zu erreichen. - So sehen die US-PSn 3.723.079 und 4.192.650 Rehydrierverfahren vor, bei denen die auf 0 % Restfeuchte getrocknete Kohle bei 100 bis 115° C einer Dampfbehandlung unterworfen wird, bis der Feuchtigkeitsgehalt der Kohle wieder 2 - 10% erreicht hat (US-PS 4 192 650) oder aber die getrocknete Kohle wird bei 175 - 225° C mit einer Sauerstoffmenge von 0,5 - 8 % des Kohlegewichtes behandelt und die so vorbehandelte Kohle mit einer Wassermenge von 1,5 - 6 % des Kohlegewichtes rehydriert. Labormäßige Versuche für eine sog. Voroxydation beschreibt das "Handbuch des Kok-ereiwesens", Bd. I, 1955, S. 62/63, wo dargelegt wird, daß leicht oxydierbare Gaskohle (flüchtige Bestandteile 7 15 % waf = wasser- und aschefrei) bei 250° C in ca. 10 - 20 h voroxydiert wird. In "Glückauf", 1950, S. 988/89 wird die Behandlung von Fettkohle (fl. Bestandteile 12 - 14 % waf) und von Anthrazit für deren Lagerfähigkeit beschrieben; hier soll bei einer Temperatur von 125 - 275° C eine Wärmebehandlung über 24 Stunden erfolgen.The transport of fine coal and coal dust has hitherto been carried out in appropriate containers using an inert gas, for example nitrogen or another gas with less than 8-10% oxygen. Die gezielte Wärmebehandlung bestimmter Kohle und Kohlemischungen nach der Erfindung geht nicht nur von der Rehvdrierung und langzeitigen Voroxydation ab, sondern stellt sich auch in Gegensatz zu einer Wärmebehandlung zum Trocknen von grubenfeuchter und aufbereitungsnasser Kohle, wo die Kohle für die Dauer von 1 - 2 sec einer Schockerwärmung ausgesetzt wird, die bei einer Temperatur erheblich oberhalb des Zündpunktes der Kohle stattfindet. In anderer Verfahrensweise kann zunächst eine Vortrocknung erfolgen und dann die Wärmebehandlung erfolgen, so daß der Wassergehalt auf 2 - 3 % oder weniger % gesenkt wird. - Das Kriterium des Wassergehaltes ist nicht ausschlaggebend für die Wärmebehandlung selbst, d. h. die Wärmebehandlung richtet sich nicht primär auf die Erreichung eines bestimmten Wassergehaltes, vielmehr kommt es auf die Alterung der Kohle durch die Wärmebehandlung über einen bestimmten Zeitraum an. Gleichwohl kann die Zeitdauer und die Temperatur der Wärmebehandlung so ausgerichtet werden, daß die behandelte Kohle gleichzeitig auch den gewünschten Wassergehalt erhält.
