A device for the portional formation of soap lather comprising of a storage container (V) for an aqueous soap solution, a soap solution metering pump (3) and a compressed air diaphragm pump (9) which are actuatable by a single lever, the pump having a diaphragm piston (14) and return spring (12), and a mixing chamber (8) for the formation of lather, characterized in that the compressed air diaphragm pump (9) is constructed so as to be double-acting (figure).

A device according to claim 1, characterized in that the operating direction of the compressed air diaphragm pump (9) is provided on the side of its piston rod (14b) for the compression and introduction of the compressed air (D) into the mixing chamber (8) and the other operating direction is provided for blowing the soap lather out of the discharge aperture (A) (figure).

A device according to claim 2, characterized in that the compressed air delivery and removal lines of the diaphragm pump (9) each comprise a valve (70) on the side of the piston rod (14b) of the diaphragm pump; and in that a further valve (70) is provided in a delivery line (5a) for blowing out the soap lather (figure).
4. A device according to claim 3, characterized in that the valves (70) comprise cylindrical valve bodies (71) which in their rest position lie on their sealing surfaces (72) as a result of the force of gravity (figure).
5. A device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the diaphragm piston (14) consists of two parts (14c, 14d) whose concave surfaces are directed away from the piston rod (14b) and between which parts (14c, 14d) a diaphragm (14a) is stretched.
