Abstract

A nonwoven fabric comprising hydrophobic poly­ ester fibers bonded with a water-insoluble, hydrophobic emulsion polymer of 50 to 95 parts by weight of a C₁ to C₂ alkyl acrylate; 5 to 30 parts of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer selected from styrene, methyl methacrylate, and α-methyl styrene; and 0.1 to 5 parts of a monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid containing 3 to 6 carbon atoms.
