Darüber hinaus macht das Füllen eines solchen Tanks infolge der oft ungünstigen Anordnung des Einfüllstutzens am Bügeleisen Schwingkeiten und kann häufig nur mittels eines besonderen Gefäßes oder eines Trichters durchgeführt werden. Auch dann kann beim Einfüllen das überlaufende Nasser in die Fugen zwischen der Sohle und der Haube des Bügeleisens dringen, womit nicht nur die im allgemeinen aus Leichtmetall bestehende Bügeleisensohle, sondern auch die elektrisch leitenden Teile durch Korrosion gefährdet sind. Diese Anordnung ist jedoch - wie die Praxis gezeigt hat - insbesondere wegen der Gewichtsbelastung durch den gefüllten Tank im Griffteil, der auch das Volumen des Bügeleisens bedeutend vergrößert, ungünstig. Das dargestellte Dampfbügeleisen 1 besteht im wesentlichen aus. einem mehrteiligen Gehäuse 2, 3, 4 und 5, wobei der ruckwandige Teil 4 etwa die Form eines Trapezes hat. und plan ausgebildet ist. An dem rückwandigen Teil 4 ist der Wassertank 5 angesetzt, wobei der Wassertank 5 mit einer spiralig umlaufenden Nut 6 versehen ist, die der Aufwicklung des elektrischen Zuleitungskabel 7 dient. Der Wassertank 5 ist mit dem rückwandigen Teil 4 des Bügeleisens 1 über eine nicht näher dargestellte Verrastung oder Verriegelung verbunden, die über die Taste 8 betätigbar ist. Der Wassertank ist nach dem Niderdrücken der Taste 8 abnehmbar, wobei ein Ventil im Verbindungskanal zwischen der Verdampfereinrichtung und dem Wasserbehälter 5 (nicht dargestellt) dafür Sorge trägt, daß kein Wasser unbeabsichtigt aus dem Wassertank ausläuft.
