One application is the production of a fuel-efficient engine.
Description
The invention relates to a fuel saver which can be applied in the use of an automobile carburetor or any fuel burner.
Devices are already known which, without actually constituting economizers, include a generator of a magnetic field tending essentially to homogenize the oxidant-fuel mixture.
According to the invention, which itself constitutes an economizer, the following provisions are adopted according to which the north-south axis of the magnetic field is oriented parallel to the axis of the motor, and, periodically, in a first direction determined during the phase of the moon extending from the full moon (falling moon) to the new moon (rising moon), and, in a second direction opposite to the first direction during the following phase of the moon extending from the new moon to the full moon, and so on.
- - la détermination dudit premier sens' résulte de la comparaison expérimentale effectuée, à un moment donné pendant l'une desdites phases de la lune, des consommations de carburant obtenues en orientant ledit axe nord-sud dans un sens et dans l'autre sens, et du choix résultant de l'orientation à laquelle correspond la consommation de carburant la plus faible ;
- - le générateur du champ magnétique est constitué par un solénoïde ;
- - the determination of said first direction 'results from the experimental comparison carried out, at a given moment during one of said phases of the moon, of the fuel consumption obtained by orienting said north-south axis in one direction and in the other direction, and the choice resulting from the orientation to which the lowest fuel consumption corresponds;
- - the generator of the magnetic field consists of a solenoid;
- - the solenoid has a winding made of red copper.
The invention will be better understood, and secondary characteristics and their advantages will appear during the description of an embodiment given below by way of example.
It is understood that the description and the attached drawing schematically representing a provision in accordance with the invention are given for information only and not limiting.
The description relates to a particular application made of the invention to the equipment of an automobile carburetor.
The device of this application, very simple, is essentially constituted by a solenoid connected directly to the battery of a car (6V or 12V). This solenoid is fixed to the carburetor by a metal tab, which thus transmits the magnetic properties of the solenoid to the carburetor. In this way, a constant magnetic field is created around and inside the carburetor. It is designed to be able to operate without heating, continuously, as long as the engine is running, by inserting in its circuit an adequate transistor and resistance.
The consequence is a sequencing of the molecules of the air-gasoline mixture, joined to an over-activation of this mixture by the lines of force of the selonoid. This, in experience, must be constituted by a red copper winding. All of these effects make it possible, according to the tests carried out to date, to save between 40 and 50% of fuel, without adding any other component than those mentioned above.
In the tests carried out, the axis of the solenoid was placed parallel to the axis of the engine (a gasoline engine with four cylinders in line), that is to say orthogonally to the vertical direction of flow of the fuel-oxidant mixture in the carburetor. The orientation of the axis of this solenoid from the rear to the front of the motor, or vice versa, is a crucial point which results from the following observation.
There is a relation between the functioning of the device and the lunar cycle, this not being a scientific explanation of phenomenon, but a simple experimental observation.
Indeed, it is advisable to reverse the magnetic field (thus to turn over the solenoid or to invert the terminals connecting it to the battery), every two weeks, every new and full moon, compared to its previous working position. If this is not done, the engine sometimes consumes half, sometimes twice its normal consumption. This system therefore works without external intervention, of course, if care is taken to couple the socket on the battery to the contact socket.
Thus, the choice of the orientation of the axis of the solenoid can very simply result at a determined moment corresponding to one of the two lunar phases mentioned above, from the observation of the consumptions obtained by placing the solenoid in one direction, then in the opposite. The direction to retain is obviously that to which corresponds the lowest measured consumption.
The solenoid can be incorporated into the air filter, which is fitted in modern cars. It is enough to provide on the top a lever having taken on the solenoid (being able to be connected to the dashboard), allowing to make him execute a U-turn by simple reversal (every two weeks after consulting a calendar indicating the cycle lunar).
More generally, the magnetic field can also be produced by a device other than a solenoid, or even by a solenoid with a winding other than red copper, although the latter arrangement is preferred because of its high efficiency.
The device, object of the invention, can be used on all already existing cars fitted with a carburetion engine, fitted with a carburetor.
It may also find interesting applications on aircraft engines, allowing with fuel economy to increase the radius of action.
It can also be used in industry by adapting to all burner outlets.
