Description

The invention relates to a machine for the continuous production of filled prismatic containers with a square cross-section and lateral ears at the closure ends, starting from a continuous tube or hose, with elements arranged on endless chains or bands for forming, sealing and severing the tube or hose.

Devices for the production of cuboid packs are known (DE-B2 14 61 895, DE-B-11 92 968, DE-B2 1461 915), in which molded elements and sealing and separating elements are provided on two endless chains arranged opposite one another. An endless tube, from which the cuboid containers are to be produced, is guided between the chains, the other two sides being closed by cell halves arranged on the chains. Folding flaps arranged in the chains are pivoted through 90 ° to one another by a complicated mechanism consisting of differently driven drive rollers and control cams in order to be able to carry out the sealing and separation process. This known device consists of many moving parts, the control of which is complex and complicated. In addition, the alternating movement of the machine parts causes considerable noise. Furthermore, these known devices are subject to heavy wear, so that maintenance work often has to be carried out, which leads to considerable production losses.

From DE-A1-26 12 710 a device for packaging a liquid is known, in which an endless hose is passed between two chains, on each of which molded shells are arranged, which pinch off the areas of the hose before the sealing and separation process. With this device, however, only bags are provided on the end sides with a straight weld seam, rectangular packs are not produced with them.

The AT ― B ― 191 335 discloses a machine for the continuous production of packaging bodies with which pyramid-shaped packs, so-called tetrahedra, are produced. This machine has four endless chains, two of which are opposed in pairs. The chains are identical with clamping jaws, which are offset in pairs by an angle of 90 °. A roller bed is provided there for the clamping jaws, on which the clamping jaws are supported. The roller bed exerts pressure in the direction of the counter jaw when a clamping jaw passes. This requires complex mechanics. The pyramid-shaped containers that can be produced with this machine are no longer requested by consumers, since rectangular, prismatic containers, which are easy to handle and can be packed better, are preferred.

The invention has for its object to provide a machine for the continuous production of filled prism-shaped containers with high operational reliability, low maintenance, low noise, low operating costs, small dimensions and with good adaptation to both the packaging material and the product to be packaged, in which only few moving parts are provided.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the elements are fixedly arranged on four endless chains or belts, in that the chains or belts are arranged in pairs opposite one another and in their movement sequence are synchronized in that two identical elements are provided in pairs on opposite belts or chains and that the belts or chains guided over deflecting rollers have a uniform, straight-line movement in the inner region between the deflecting rollers and that the four endless belts or chains each face each other in pairs with the elements arranged one behind the other for molding and alternately with the elements for sealing and separating are provided.

In an embodiment of the invention it can be provided that the elements for sealing consist of pairs of opposing jaws and pairs of auxiliary blades, that the jaws are provided with a cutting tool and that the auxiliary blades inside the hollow ears of the prismatic container to be manufactured Form sections of the square sliding tube while simultaneously centering the images to be placed on the outside of the containers, with the containers already filled with the product to be packaged. The prismatic containers can be substantially square, rhombic or polygonal.

In the machine according to the invention, four chains or belts are provided, which are opposite each other in pairs. As a result, the hose or tube which is to be filled with the product and from which the containers are to be shaped and cut off is bordered on all sides, so that no lateral, complementary mold halves have to be provided. This prevents the hose from being pinched and damaged from the outset. The elements for forming, sealing and severing the hose are firmly attached to the chains or belts and no complex and complicated control of the elements is necessary to move them towards one another for the sealing and separating process. This means that the machine consists of four belts or chains running synchronously and with a uniform linear movement, on which the form, sealing and separating elements are firmly arranged. Steering wheels and cams are not provided.

The continuously operating packaging machine according to the invention has great advantages over the known packaging systems and consists of a series of silent high-speed packaging machines.

Fig. 1 shows the main mechanism of a continuously operating packaging machine, which consists of four conveyor belts 1, 2, 3 and 4. The conveyor belts are endless and face each other in pairs. The belts stretched over deflection rollers run with a uniform, uniform movement in the direction of the arrows. The movement is effected by known drive transmission means. The belts are arranged in such a way that the opposite sections of the belts produce straight-line tracks 5.

Fig. 2 shows a modified arrangement of the conveyor belts 1 ', 2', 3 ', 4', the outward-facing run is in each case stretched over a roller not lying in the plane of the deflection rollers. These belts also have a uniform movement and have a rectilinear band section along the regions 5 'which run with invariable rectilinear movement.

From Fig. 3 it can be seen that the conveyor belts 2 and 3 are alternately provided with molded elements 6 and jaws 8, while the conveyor belts 1 and 3 alternately have molded elements 7 and auxiliary blades 9.

Fig. 4 shows that the form elements 6 and 7, which are arranged in pairs on the conveyor belts opposite one another, form the inner straight section; Likewise, the jaws 8 and the auxiliary blades 9 are shown, each of which is attached to a pair of opposing conveyor belts. These jaws 8 and auxiliary blades 9 are arranged alternately with the shaped elements 6 and 7 on the conveyor belts. The jaws 8 have the task of closing and cutting off the containers, while the auxiliary blades attached to the bands forming the narrow sides of the containers have the task of shaping the ears of the container which is being manufactured.

Fig. 5 shows that the jaws 8 close the tube 10 diagonally, the tube having been previously filled with the product to be packaged. Through these jaws 8, the tube 10 is drawn into the rectilinear area 5 of the conveyor belts. In this area, the opposite shaped elements 6 form the container to the prism on the opposite sides. The container is already closed by the jaws 8.

Der Bandabschnitt 5 bewegt sich mit einer gleichmäßigen geradlinigen konstanten Geschwindigkeit kontinuierlich und geräusschlos.6 shows the upper area of the conveyor belts 3 and 4. At the beginning of the straight belt section 5, the mutually opposite shaped elements 6, which form the container from the tube 10, are still open so that the product to be packaged can be filled. At the bottom, the container has already been closed by the jaws 8. The pliers jaws 8 pull the tube 10 or the container to be manufactured into the straight region 5 extending between the conveyor belts. The opposite conveyor belts 2 and 4 or 1 and 3 have a uniform speed, as indicated by the arrows, and comprise one rectilinear band section. The belt section 5 moves continuously and noiselessly at a uniform, rectilinear, constant speed.

Fig. 7 shows the opposing bands 1 and 3, in which 7 auxiliary blades 9 are provided on each side alternately to the opposing shaped elements. These auxiliary blades 9 form lateral ears on the container to be manufactured and simultaneously center the container so that images can be attached to the outside thereof. 7 shows the jaws 8 for closing the container.

Fig. 8 shows the conveyor belts 1 and 3 in the manufacturing stage, which corresponds to Fig. 6. The conveyor belts 1 and 3 are alternately provided with opposing shaped elements 7 and auxiliary blades 9. The jaws 8 for closing the container engage laterally on the prismatic square container. These pliers jaws 8 are attached to the pair of opposing bands 2 and 4, which is only indicated in FIG. 8.

Fig. 9 ist eine schematische Darstellung der Arbeitsfolge. Figure 9 is a schematic representation of the sequence of operations. In order to package the container 10, it is filled and brought into shape within the rectilinear region 5 of the conveyor belts by the mutually opposing shaped elements 6 and 7 and closed by the jaws 8 and the auxiliary blades 9 forming the lateral ears.

As can be seen from Fig. 1, the main mechanism consists of four endless annular conveyor belts, two of which face each other in pairs. These belts are driven at a coordinated and even speed. The means to drive and Transmission of the driving force is known from the prior art.

Volume 1 is opposite volume 3 and volume 2 is opposite volume 4. All four belts run with coordinated smooth movement and their smooth speed can be very high. The belts run silently, vibration-free, wear-free and maintenance-free.

No drive and control devices are shown in the figures, since these are known in many ways. The conveyor belts can consist of chains, preferably of link chains, or of belts made of textiles, synthetic materials or other materials.

The synchronization of the smooth movement of the four conveyor belts can be achieved by known mechanisms. For this purpose, for example, a series of evenly spaced holes or a series of reinforced pins can be provided which engage in journals or holes provided on the drive and transfer rollers in order to ensure the exact synchronization of the uniform movement between the belts. Known belts can be used for transmission within the drive mechanism, as can other types of transmission mechanisms used in similar systems.

The main mechanism according to the invention can slide within suitable guides, which can be designed in different ways and can consist of different materials.

The strength, width and height of the ring-shaped endless belts are parameters which can be selected by the person skilled in the art in accordance with the dimensions of the packaging machines and which depend on the technical and functional conditions of the containers which are to be produced.

Protection is claimed for all packaging machines for prismatic, square containers, in which the main mechanism consists of four endless belts or silent chains, which lie opposite one another in pairs, the movement of which is synchronized and which are provided with elements of shaping devices in succession. These shaping devices are arranged opposite one another on the belts so that they can produce the inner region of hollow prismatic tubes with straight axes and square cross-section. The belts work noiselessly and continuously with even, straight-line movement. Machining elements are provided alternately between the shaping elements, each consisting of a pair of opposing pliers jaws and a pair of auxiliary blades.
